We actually prefer taking 152 from west I435 over to I35. Until you get to four or five stop lights just west of I35, it is a straight shot. A lot of it depends on the time of day you are going through. We prefer I80 because the passes are not as high and you don't have to go through Denver. There is more truck traffic and the cross winds in Wyoming can be tricky. I255 from I64 to I270 has finally been repaired for the most part. A couple of years ago it was horrible. Since we like to stay at the 370 RV Park, we normally go that route. However taking I64 through connecting back to I70 at Wentzville is also a good way to go. We avoid taking I70 through St. Louis if at all possible. I know that our KTag works on the toll road around Austin, TX. But we have never traveled on an OK toll road so don't know if it works there or not. The biggest problems with the implementation of all toll roads accepting one pass is the huge number of specialty plates and the issue of revenue sharing. I know that for a couple of years we were not charged a toll on the turnpike around Austin while our friends were. We actually bought a Magic Chef apartment size washer and dryer. Dryer is 110. The literature says not for use in RV's but they have worked well for us for 3 seasons. I only wash a medium size load because that is what works best in the dryer. I am the rally coordinator for our June 2022 rally. I know that is a long way off but you need to start early on these things. I am looking for an RV park in the Rapid City/Keystone/Hill City area. We will need about 40 sites, a couple of cabins, pavilion or similar space and big rig accessibility. Back in sites are OK as long as they are long enough. Obviously some pull through sites are preferred. Most of our rally attendees will stay at least 7 nights. Just browsing through RV park reviews I have come up with a couple of possibilities: Rafter J Bar Ranch in Hill City and Heartland RV Park in Hermosa. Sorry to hear of your problems. Some unfortunately go with the territory. You better be handy with basic tools to handle things like molding coming lose, misaligned drawers, blinds falling down. I wish it weren't so but unfortunately it is. You have to remember that pulling these things down the road is probably equivalent to a small earthquake. And on some roads, Illinois comes to mind, it is more like a major earthquake. Now all that being said, some of the things that you listed are a manufacturer problem, not the assembler problem. Try contacting Lippert about your shackle problem. That is a known problem and they have been taking care of. Contact the manufacturer directly about your stove, fan, etc. It is probably best to email them supported by pictures of the issue. Be persistent but polite. Part of you problem could be your dealer. They are known to try to blame Forest River when it is actually them dropping the ball. Cardinal is ordinarily a pretty solid trailer but every now and again, they lay an egg. All RV manufacturers have issues, some more so than others. Have you tried contacting Cardinal directly with some of your issues? I don't have the contact information for that line, but I am sure it is available somewhere. Have you checked the Cardinal forum for other owners' comments and issues? Like I said, I am sorry you have had a bad experience. But hopefully you can get resolution soon.421Views0likes0CommentsRe: Residential W/D?
We actually went with the Magic Chef compact (apartment) size residential washer and dryer. The dryer is 110v so no modification needed. Disclaimer, the literature with both said they were not for RV use. But they are working just fine. We only had the washer for the first three years and added the dryer this year. The stacking rack took a little modification but it works. We don't full time so I couldn't justify the cost of the Splendide washer and dryer.
