How many Amp Hours do you estimate the unit uses?Re: Help - TV - Lance 2445 & EscaladeOP, fellow Utahn here. I own a Lance 2185 and tow with an F150. Although I love the Lance trailers (we've had 2 now), their tongue weight is usually much higher than they say (as with many other manufacturers). My 2185 comes in at 1100# tongue weight with batteries, water, etc. From what I understand your trailer will have an even higher tongue weight which will put you far over your payload. I would check the lance owners forum, someone there is bound to have measured that trailer's tongue weight and can give you exact specs. My gut feeling is that no, your TV is not ideal for this trailer and could be dangerous. But best to get exact specs to make an informed decision. Good luck.Re: Considering the Andersen Weight Distribution HitchRam 1500 and Lance 2185 here. Went from an Equalizer hitch to an Anderson due to weight, ease of setup, and not having to deal with the bars. The other posters here have hit it on the head - when the roads are good it works nearly as well as the equalizer, but when the roads are poor or conditions are not great it does not control the trailer or transfer weight nearly as well. I also strongly object to the owners vandalism of our public lands and would not buy another (for both reasons): Link to Moab TimesRe: Sold the Honda 2000i and got a 2200i , now I can run the AC RollandB wrote: Our AC is a Coleman Mach 15k. Is anyone out their running this with a Micro Start and Honda 2200? Been seriously looking at selling my Honda 2000 and replacing with a Champion Duel Fuel 3500. I'm in the same boat. Sold my Honda twins and bought a Champion 3100. It runs my 15K Coleman Mach just fine, but it is NOT as quiet as my Honda Twins - to my ears it's not even close. I'd love to see if anyone has run the Honda 2200 and 15k BTU with an easy start at altitude - 4,000-7500ft. The Yamaha is a contender too but it's a beast to lift.Re: Common issues with Dodge 6.7L or Ford 6.7Thank you all for the constructive posts. Just to clarify, this ISN'T a what truck is best kind of post. I'd simply like to know about the common issues to each model and what to watch for. And thank you all for telling me about this. So the 2013+ Cummins 6.7's went to a DEF system and that seems to be more reliable and get better mileage. Were the 2007-2012 problematic? I've found a few 2011-2012 6.7 PSD's around me for a good price, but the mention of the high pressure pump issues spook me out a bit. Are the issues random? Thanks again.Re: Common issues with Dodge 6.7L or Ford 6.7Dang, I hope it doesn't get locked and I'm sure not trying to start any arguments. I've owned all of the big 3's trucks, and all had their strengths and weaknesses. And all of them make a great truck.Common issues with Dodge 6.7L or Ford 6.7Hoping to solicit some of the collective advice from the gurus on the forum about a new truck purchase. I've been lucky to own a few great trucks: 2001 7.3 powerstroke, a 2007 LBZ duramax, and just sold a 2003 cummins 5.9. All were great vehicles and I've been looking for similar replacements with lower miles. However, the only similar model trucks in my area with low miles are priced the same as the new vehicles and come without many of the amenities. Supply and demand I suppose. In any case, I figure for similar pricing I should look at the Dodge 6.7 and Ford 6.7. I'm wondering if either have an achilles heel that should be watched for or checked out prior to purchase? Thanks for any guidance you can give. I'd appreciate everyone keeping this civil. This ISN'T a what truck is best kind of post. But I know Lance makes a lift 'kit' for these as well - might be worth asking the factory what it costs.Re: Lance trailer qualityI've owned a bunch of trailers, and currently own a Lance 2185. We love it, and it's the best built and highest quality trailer we've ever owned. Zero complaints. That said, I haven't owned a Jayco - but we bought this over the Jayco and it was visibly nicer in terms of finish work, fit and finish. There are many happy owners of each on the forums.Re: Airstream or Lance?I have a Lance 2185 - and I'd hardly call it a throw away trailer. It's the best built trailer I've ever had, and we've owned a few. I'm sure there are nicer, but construction wise this is the nicest trailer we've owned. Zero complaints.
