It's a little over an hour drive (traffic permitting). For just over $200, I got the following services done: 17 quarts of Rotella T for the engine. New Fleetguard oil filter. Two new Fleetguard fuel filters. Lube the chassis. 3 quarts of Rotella T for the generator. New oil filter for the generator. New fuel filter for the generator. Check a bunch of other stuff. The fuel filters were put on by gorillas on steroids at the factory. These guys had a hard time getting the fuel filters off. I could barely by the oil and filters for that price! At home, I de-winterized the fresh water system. Used the Thetford solution to clean the 100 gallon tank and lines. Rinsed. Used the Thetford sanitizer to clean the tank and lines. Rinsed. Let the icemaker produce many loads to clean out those lines. Installed the iPhone antenna booster. Not sure where to put the external antenna yet, but it won't be a permanent mount anyway. Installed the computer fan I bought off of eBay for the Norcold refrigerator. Had to run a wire down the drain tube to get power since newer Norcolds don't have constant 12v at the light anymore. Washed the beast, including the roof. Installed the battery watering setup I bought a long time ago but only recently found. Took it back to storage and dumped the tanks. :(Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Got it inspected.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Finished installing the EC-30W remote auto generator start. Adjusted the stoppers on the engine cover so it won't rattle and took it back to storage.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Mostly installed the EC-30W auto generator start. Had to finish early to get to the movie theater. Will complete it today.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today??? jimj wrote: I put a fuse in the refrig circuit board after the low voltage must have overloaded and burned it out. The freezing cold temp has everyone running their elect heaters and causing low voltage issues. JimJ Don't you have a surge suppressor to prevent low voltage from reaching your coach?Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Exercised the generator. After over 3 hours, the batteries still weren't fully charged, but I had to leave the storage lot. Found the outer part of my left Norcold refrigerator door had fallen off some time in the month.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???There's a Harbor Freight around the corner from my storage lot. Since the tools in the MH don't get much use, yes, I buy the cheap stuff for it. I get Sears tools for home. Some time I'm going to have to investigate how you manually retract a slide (or is it the jacks?) using a ratchet. I might buy a cheap HF impact wrench since I have an air hose connection (and an air hose) on the motorhome. An impact wrench would make the job quicker if that emergency arose. I'd hate to load/unload my home air wrench for every trip. I know I'd forget it. The HF 3/8" wrench was maybe $20 - $25.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Exercised the genny for 1.75 hours with the front heat pump on. Charged the house and chassis batteries. Connected the DirecTV box to the HD distribution box. Put a cheap Harbor Freight socket set in with the other tools.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today??? Congratulations!!Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today??? s & s wrote: Actually yesterday, I changed the oil and lubed the chassis. Scraped my forehead on the heat shield protecting the LP tank. "OUCH" :M I have to wonder how anyone can roll around under one of these rigs on a creeper? I barely fit laying on the ground. Now I'm 6'3" @ 220lbs. and don't consider myself out of shape for my age but geeeeeees! That's a tight fit. That being said we can now be almost ready to leave for FLA.:B I banged my head 3 times on a fairly sharp generator exhaust hanger when I changed the oil and fuel filter in my generator.
