They have a large rig friendly KOA on the East side of town, right off the highway.Re: Fifth wheel hitch questionThanks for the advice. My current hitch is a Pro Series, sliding pivoting 15k hitch. I think I'll just stick with what I have as it seems it will be able to do the job. Quick question, is there a benefit between installing either 4-bolt mounting rails or 10-bolt mounting rails? I have to install new ones on my 2015 GMC Sierra 3500HD (diesel).Re: New Fifth WheelIt should be noted that he's in Canada where a low dollar value has really impacted the price of your American made imported units :(Fifth wheel hitch questionI am purchasing a new fifth wheel that has a fully loaded (water & cargo) weight of 13,700 lbs. My current hitch is rated to a maximum of 15,000 lbs. My question is with 1,300 lbs left over can I still use my old hitch or should I upgrade to one with a higher load limit?Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos popeye59 wrote: You said your TT had a vinyl accordion door but isn't a Flagstaff 8528BHWS a FW? Or did you have a different TT and just got the FW? Not a big deal, just curious. Yes, the Flagstaff is a 5th Wheel. We just got it and I was referencing the change we made to our old Terry travel trailer shower. :)Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosWhew! That was a LONG read but I did it! :) A couple other posters mentioned this but I will say it again that when we camp we get a brochure for the campground with the map and while the kids are riding their bikes and we walk around we note preferred campsites for next time and I keep all of them in a small binder in the trailer. Our TT had a thick vinyl accordian door (nearly pitch black in shower when closed and very little elbow room) so I took it off and installed the Extend-A-Shower rod from Camping world and used just a regular shower curtain....night and day (pun intended!)and plenty of elbow room now! Extend A Shower Rod I too use varying sizes of Rubbermaid Rough Totes to keep everything organized (from kids toys to sewer connctions) in my under storage and have all the bins labelled on all sides so I can see at a glance what is in them no matter how I have them shoved under there. Probably been said a hundred times but I still love my Lynx Levellers and my BAL X-Chocks.Re: Your RigHere is our new rig. We will be picking it up from the dealer this Wednesday. We are upgrading from a 2004 Terry 280BH to this 2012 Flagstaff 8528BHWS Ultralite and towing with our 2009 2500HD Sierra. Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012Did you make/have someone make the brackets that fit on the square bumper or did you buy those?
