Glad you scored that Arctic Fox—$17,000 for a 2013 is pretty solid, especially since it didn’t leak or have any delamination issues. We also had to pass on a few that looked fine but had hidden problems like soft floors. The winter camping aspect is great, and I’m sure it’ll hold up nicely with the Fox’s insulation. Re: Propane fire pit You can use a 1lb disposable propane tank with your Bond model 67836 fire pit if you get the right adapter. I've done this with my own camplux fire pit, and it works fine for short sessions. The key is to ensure the adapter is tightly secured and there are no leaks. However, keep in mind that a 1lb tank won't last long, maybe an hour or two at most, depending on the flame size. It’s handy for portability and quick use but not ideal for longer gatherings. Always keep a spare tank and check for leaks before lighting. Re: Tankless water heater Got a Camplux Propane RV water heater last year and it's been solid.Been taking showers with it now for a few weeks at our off-grid cabin while we build our forever home nearby. I bought a small 12v battery that has it's own on/off switch, a 5-gallon bucket, and a small length of clear tubing for the over-pressure drain valve on the bottom of the water heater that feeds into the same bucket. So the only thing I will say is that temperature control is really based on the temperature of the water you freed it. Re: Electric cooler vs rv fridge We're all about flexibility! We love our electric coolers because we can take it anywhere, whether we're road tripping, camping, or just hanging out at the beach. It's super energy-efficient, so we don't have to worry about draining our batteries. And the sliding shelf makes it super easy to grab a cold drink without digging through everything. Re: Any RV transport recommendation? I used many RV transport companies and Movewheels looks like the best rv transport services which i use for my last RV transport, and I was very happy with their service. They were on time and affordable. Re: Camper type wood burning stove for home... The Morso 1410 Fireplace Oven is indeed a great option for those seeking a stylish, efficient, and durable wood burning stove. Its cylindrical design, coupled with its cast iron construction, provides both aesthetic appeal and exceptional heating performance. I also use a Tola tent stove. After multiple uses, I am very impressed with this stove. I like it very much. Re: New Camping Stove NeededI have the Coleman Triton Portable and Dweller Max 3 camping wood stoves with 2 High Pressure Burners and I'm also very happy with it. The two high pressure burners are great for boiling water quickly and cooking meals over high heat. The push-button ignition system is also a nice feature, especially when cooking in cold weather.Re: Portable Solar PanelsThe size of the solar panel will determine how much power it can generate. For a small trailer with just two people, a 100-200 watt solar panel should be sufficient. Also Portable rv solar panel can be heavy, so it is important to choose one that is lightweight and easy to move.Re: Installing an oven into a former rental rvIf you are considering installing a regular oven in your Cruise America RV, I recommend that you take the measurements of the space below the cooktop and bring them with you to a local appliance store. The staff at the appliance store will be able to help you find an oven that is the right size for your RV.
