I'd be cautious. TP-Link routers/networking products have many known vulnerabilities. We are VASP junkies. The site specific reservation system is in Pilot Program mode. Like OP, I am not a fan of it but it appears that the "people" have spoken. We too show up on late on Thursday or early Friday and stay through Monday morning. It's nice to have a good selection. Apparently more people prefer guaranteeing the site that they desire. Moisture wicking through from something touching the tent fabric is a possibility with any canvas tenting. Sounds like an ultra light hybrid camper would meet your needs, just clear the bunk walls when rain is on the way. J Lock has broken on lower corner of one of our bunks, I will probably get the local upholstery shop to sew new J Lock on, but it never occurred to me that it could have broken due to cable adjustment.
