Without more details that's the best I can do.Re: Slide outsI did not have any slides on my first 2 Class C MH's. The second one was special order since that was when they went "full slide out" across product lines. Our current one has 2 slides. I think they are a lot better than they used to be and add so much comfort to RV'ing. I wouldn't get one without slides anymore. (Not that it would be easy to get one that way anyway) YMMVRe: Newbie - Sewer hose recommendation?I have used several of the cheap blue hoses that come with RV starter kits over the years. They tear easily, start to leak, and the wires at the end of it started to poke my hand. Since I didn't want to chance a serious infection from a sewer hose, I finally spent an extra $20 and got a better hose. They are easier to handle, take more use, and don't leak as easily, IMO. However, I still see many people using the blue ones. So, YMMV.Re: E450 V10?If it sat all winter, did you put gasoline stabilizer in it and run it long enough to get through the system? If not, you might want to try your generator while you are at it. For your original problem, I like to use a fuel system cleaner every now and then to avoid any build-up.Re: Coachman class cMessed up my message - please deleteRe: I'm a newbie. HELP ME.If you have watched the movie "RV" with Robin Williams, you will recognize it is a documentary, not a comedy! Years ago, with a brand new class c MH on vacation, the black tank wouldn't drain. I poked sticks up the hole, bought a snake to run through it, and even stuck my arm down the hole. No luck...until I felt something move while using the snake. While looking up the hose, I poked more energetically with the snake. Out pops a circular plastic disc from when they cut the hole for the tank inlet...followed by a full black tank's worth of "material"! I got it into the sewer hole, but not until I got a good dose of it. Needless to say, I used the outdoor shower to clean up followed by a change of clothes. I'm a little smarter now.Re: Install CB radio or not?Is it possible to mount the antenna to the ladder at the back of the MH? It would involve running some length of coax and perhaps loss of signal over that 40 feet (down, across, up) I imagine, but that puts it up high and they make ladder mounts for antenna. I also remember that it must be a special antenna if it doesn't have a ground or ground plane or ? Sorry, it was a while back and I don't remember the details. Technology may be better now.Re: Install CB radio or not? Johno02 wrote: Find a CB shop,, many times around some larger truck stops. There are several mounts and type of antenna available for mounting on a fiberglass front cap, a good B shop can advise, and probably install it for you. Thanks!Re: Install CB radio or not? CavemanCharlie wrote: Why not install it. It is not to hard and what have you got to lose ? You can always shut it off if there is to much chatter on it. One concern with this MH is what type of antenna and where should I mount it? I don't want to drill holes in the roof or sides if I don't have to based on stories of water incursion. Where do most people mount the antennae? Ideas?Re: Install CB radio or not?The only reason I considered it was due to the long distances without cell service that you can find yourself in at times. Day to day, probably not much utility past the cell, GPS, and perhaps CB can provide.
