I searched our local Craigslist for a used Gen-turi and found one...so I will be using ours. I hope other attendees are as considerate as you and I are...who wants to smell exhaust all day/night. Just wanted to commend you for thinking of others in tight quarters. Jaye(Mn)Re: Using a Scan Gaugehttps://www.scangauge.com/x-gauge-commands/ford-lincoln-mercury/ I had to enter the xcode for my 06 class A motorhome trans temp and it worked, took me a couple of tries tho. Jaye(Mn)Re: Generator questionsI'm in Minnesota, too. I Fog the genny engine and let it and the Motor home sit for the winter. Just make sure the gas is treated and run through the MH and genny... then fog the genny and let it sit. If you have a carb bowl drain for the gas, drain it. Your biggest enemy is the gas going bad. FYI, just starting the MH without driving it is not good for it. Jaye (Mn)Re: Flashing battery on dashSounds like mine. (2007 Georgetown, F53 chassis) I have asked on forums a couple of times about this with no firm answers. I believe there may be some feedback of some sort, but am no electrical guru. Bottom line...if your lights not flashing when the genny isn't running, I think your alt is fine. Jaye(Mn)Re: Flashing battery on dashIs it doing this when you are driving with your generator running? I ask because mine flashes under those circumstances. If I turn the dash air on it must create enough of a draw because the flashing stops. So in my case, I think it is overcharging rather than undercharging. Jaye(Mn)Re: Onan 5500 surging after warmIt runs good until the auto choke opens....that's what mine did when I bought it. The person I bought it from knew it and only demo'd it for a couple of minutes cause he knew what would happen when it warmed up. I took the carb apart 3 times to get it clean enough and now it runs great. They say it is non-serviceable...but it does come apart if need be. Try the portable tank/cleaner trick first...then get the wrenches out...new is $250ish....I will clean that bugger quite a few times for that much money. Jaye(Mn)Re: Plan a TripSame thing with me.
