I had it mounted on a used rim and will carry it on our trip this next summer to Alaska. I don't plan to change the tire myself unless absolutely necessary. After Alaska we will see whether i continue to carry it or not. thx -- DaleRe: Domicile: Texas vs. FloridaDo you end up also registering your vehicles where you have your residence, and have your driver license from that state??? If so -- I believe Texas has a special license for the RV that is more complicated. In Florida (where I live) there is no special RV license. When you register a vehicle for the first time in FL you have to have the VIN verified by the police. I had a palm beach county police person who lives in our community verify mine so I could register it. RV license fees are reasonable. When you first register you will need some proof of taxes paid -- otherwise you might owe sales tax on the RV value. Same for registering cars for the first time. good luck -- let us know what you choose and how it goes. thx -- Dale -- Palm Beach Gardens FL -- 2000 American Eagle.Re: 2016 explorer 4x4I realize the my 2004 Ford Explorer is a totally different year. However, I tow it four down (4&4 version) and do not disconnect the battery. I had a similar question when I started towing it, but decided to just see. I Have towed it about 10,000 miles, and for weeks at a time with no indication of any discharging of the battery. thx --- DaleRe: Wallpaper vs RVNaio -- where would you buy the wallboard with wallpaper attached that you mentioned? thx -- DaleRe: fiberglass roofsMy 2000 American Eagle has a fiberglass roof -- However, I am still pursuing leaks, and at this time having everything sealed by a local RV firm. thx -- Dale
