All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: I just got the new RV MagazineDon't want to hijack this post, but camping world has been going down the tubes for years. You have to join to be able to purchase things at the price you pay at a normal rv dealer. Then when you order something online, that is supposed to be in stock, they string you along. I ordered a co/propane detector from them about a month ago only because they were the only ones saying it was in stock. Still have not even gotten a notice that it is being shipped. Have been told twice that they will expedite the order but still nothing. But they sure hit my credit card as soon as it was ordered. I guess I will go back to Amazon or Wally world if and when I finally received it. Thanks Marcus, don't understand how your company stays in business.Re: Gone through 5 water pumps in 2015 cedar creekHave installed a shutoff, and shurflo is replacing the housing portion of this pump. No one can explain why. Basically all the pumps have leaked generally in the same place. To those that insist the pump is freezing, this trailer has not seen temps below low 40 upper 30, if that is freezing, I guess we better start wintering in Hawaii.Re: Gone through 5 water pumps in 2015 cedar creekCan't really provide a picture now since I now have the pump in a small tub to catch the drip. Sorry, gotta keep the basement dry. And after looking closer it's more of a pinhole than a crack, but it's dripping enough to fill a small tupperware container overnight.Re: Gone through 5 water pumps in 2015 cedar creekLive in Jersey, but as indicated, we winterize by heading to Florida. The coldest weather the pump has encountered is probably upper 40s, so freezing surely is not the case. The dealer we bought the trailer from tried to tell me the 1st pump must have frozen, but that was the only year the trailer was winterized and I had used the pump to get the antifreeze through the lines so that idea was BS also.Re: Gone through 5 water pumps in 2015 cedar creekI guess I should have indicated that the water pump is never used. We have only camped with hookups. The hoses going to and from the pump are the typical soft plastic water lines. The fittings are not leaking, the actual pump housing develops a crack.Gone through 5 water pumps in 2015 cedar creekI am about to install the 5th water pump in my 2015 cedar creek. Two different manufacturers. Each pump has developed a crack in the plastic pump housing. What could possibly be causing this issue? Am considering eliminating the pump altogether, since we winterize by heading to Florida but not sure how. Any suggestions?Re: Low clearance - cut this off?I would cut it off, but leave it a little longer than the equalizer bars hang down. You may wind up having to replace them in the futureRe: Paying For WaterCurrently right across the street at Red Oaks, same owners. They have been installing water meters at all long-term sites. It has been like a big secret. Nobody in the office has any info. I guess they think we are idiots and can't figure out that we are about to get screwed without even a smile.Poop shoot cleaningNot a real nice topic, but the better half is looking for a good method to clean the down pipe from toilet to the tank in our Cedar Creek 5er. Any help would make her a happi toer camper. Sorry posted in wrong place, please feel free to moveRe: Lakewood Campground, Myrtle B. RV sites questionKind of doesn't really matter as you probably will not be able to see the ocean. Sand dunes block most of the view. We were there this spring in a pull thru, last road to the north of the campground (may have been site 705 ?), only reason we could see the ocean is we were right in line with the beach access. Nice place though, will definitely stop back going or coming from Florida.
