And if you are going to hook up satellite the cable hookup will not work. I run the wire through the front storage area and lift the bed and bring the cable into the trailer that way. You can still use one of the locks on the storage door so the door doesn't blow around.Re: Storing your "stinky slinky"I keep mine in a 5 gallon bucket with lid. I can fit 2 hoses in there and the fittings. The hoses coil up perfect in the bucket. And with the lid it can stand up or lay on its side. I also cap off the ends of the hoses.Leveling a Travel TrailerIs it safe to level a travel trailer using jack stands to support the axel and leaving the tires off the ground without putting anything under them? I know usually you would put wood blocks down and drive up on them. My issue is I have travel trailer on a permanent site now and the sewer hookup is very low to the ground coming off the trailer. I need to raise the trailer up so the sewer pipe sits higher so it flows down the pipe and into the sewer. I thought about just putting the trailer on jack stands on the axel and of course the stabilizer jacks onto cinder blocks. Has anyone done this? Thanks for the feedback.Re: Smaller bunk house trailer recommendationsWe have the Coachmen Clipper 17BH. We really like it. Has lots of storage space compared to some others of the same size. The side door where the back bunk lifts up for more storage is great. If you’re worried about not enough room inside, you are in it too much and need to get outside and enjoy camping haha.Re: Connecticut to TampaI recommend staying on I-81 into Virginia and then catching US17 in WInchester, VA and taking that to I-95 in Fredericksburg, VA. Or catching I-66 just south of Winchester, Va and then catch US17 off of that to I-95 in Fredericksburg, VA. Avoid I-270 and I-495 around DC unless you want to sit in traffic for a couple of hours. Just my opinion from living around the DC area.
