All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Air Conditioner Dripping Inside RVWe also had this problem. Got a new gasket, still dripping inside. Cleaned out drain weep holes, still dripping inside. Camping world couldn't figure it out. Talked to another RV'er who had the same thing. Their mobile tech told them to leave the fan on instead of on Auto when they are running the AC. What was happening is when the room cools down and the AC kicked off, any ice that was on the condenser was melting and pooling in that pan like yours, then when it filled up, it was dripping into the RV. Be leaving the fan on, it keeps that from happening. Since we have tried it, no more dripping into the RV...Re: Can You drain coach batteries while driving?Yes, it is possible. How likely depends on what your wife will be doing "Playing House". The reality of it is, in most RVs that I have had experience with, things like TV's, Microwaves, and standard plug-in appliances will not work off of 12 volt power, so she would have to consciously turn on either a generator or inverter to get the 120v system running. With you mentioning that your coach is a more modern one with LED lighting and such, it doesn't seem as likely that she is going to kill your batteries faster than they are charging.Re: Silly question about hooking up hot water outsideYou might check into making/doing something like this sink...Re: QuestionWhile a Diesel can pull more, usually it is the axle, tire, and wheel ratings that restrict max payload. Thats why the power addition of the diesel does not offset it's weight when it comes to tow ratings, it has little to do with the engine at that point.Re: Ladder sptrucksbyed wrote: 2500 Grunt wrote: Just made one out of pvc pipe. PVC pipe ?? You must have some awfull light people in your family . Actually, PVC (3/4" or 1") is incredibly strong, especially if cut into short pieces like you would for a ladder. Use some PVC cement for the joints, and you could easily have a pretty large adult on it without any issue.Re: Auto Club 400 Camping??Thanks HotPepperKid. I did call them today and got the scoop on how it works. Looks like if you camped one year, you get first dibs the next, although the lady I talked to said there are always spots available. I have a reminder to call in when I need to next year, so I should be good there.Auto Club 400 Camping??Anyone camp at Fontana for the Sprint Cup race? I want to take my dad in a couple years (2016) and camp in the infield, and I want to get any tips or info about when I need to reserve, stuff I need to make sure to bring, etc. This will be our first time camping at a NASCAR race. Thanks, JesseRe: Anyone plumbed in a Washer/Dryer w/o your rig pre-prepped? Old-Biscuit wrote: Have to run hot and cold water lines Have to run a drain line to grey tank Have to run a vent line on drain line so washer can drain Have to run 110V AC power Have to run dryer vent About $1k.....sounds about right Hey Biscuit, The only one I'm not clear on in your list is run a vent line on drain line. Do I just need to tie it into one of the other vents that goes up to the roof? Sorry if it's a dumb questions, a vent line just wasn't one of the items on my list. I assumed the grey was already vented so I didn't need to.Anyone plumbed in a Washer/Dryer w/o your rig pre-prepped?We bought a Splendide of Craigslist at a big discount(looks like it was never even used), and when I got a quote for prep in our TH, I was told around 1k.... so I am hoping I can do it myself. I just wondered if anyone else has done it and has any pointers. I understand these systems fairly well, but it never hurts to ask. Thanks, JesseRe: Captain chair storage ideas in THYou can store them in the garage of my toy hauler. I wouldn't offer to do this for just anyone, but for a friend like you...
