This brings me to the sad news......the 35 RLTS has to go. It was fine for full timing, But much too big for the occasional weekend. I will list it in the classifieds. Its been a great forum and very helpful.....thanks to everyone. Chris BrownRe: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!L&MMusic......replace it with a GE. We did and never regret it. Apollo = JUNK!!! You will have to modify the cabinet to the left of the micro, but its worth it.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Oh....and as an update to the whole matching the stain issues below. I called Jayco who sent me to Middlebury Hardwood (the cabinet makers) who told me yes....they could sell me the stain to match....$9.50 / qt.......with a $42 hazardous shipping charge !!!! It never ends........Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Go outside and make sure the slide is all the way in. It should be that when the outside flange seals against the gasket on the outer wall, thats what causes the slight "lift" on the inside. I believe it is actually a little "out of plumb" for that purpose. There should...if I remember correctly....be a gap between slides on the inside when both are full in. Your saying the carpet overlaps? I dont remember that. P.S. There are also some teflon "sliders" on the bottom of each slide out....make sure you havent lost one or more of those.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!I have a pretty large piece of a white specked corian type material....she may just have to do with that and call it a "cutting board". I will try to take a few pictures tonight....if I can figure out how to post them on here. I wonder if anyone on here has a contact at Jayco? Maybe they have some of the old color stain left since the new Pinnacle has a different color.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Well, it happened again. The crappy little micro / convection oven died again. We decided last time it would be replaced with a better quality one when it quit again. We ended up with a GE Profile from Best Buy. Caught it on sale for $539....not exactly cheap, but I hope we dont have to replace it every 10 months!! Anyway, this requires heavy modification to the surronding cabinets. I had to pull everything down and start from scratch. I managed to save the small space above the micro, but the cabinet to the right is about half of what it used to be. Wifey isnt very happy about that, but LOVES the new unit. It does not seem to put out the heat that the stock one did. She can convection bake for 60 mins and never raise the temp in the space. Now to my question......has anyone succesfully matched the stain color of the cabinets? As I said, I had to modify quite a bit and need to re-stain several pieces. I have tried in other locations to buy stain from Lowes, but nothing matches very well. Second question......does anyone know where to buy the solid surface counter top material? Wifey would like a solid surface cover for the stove instead of the metal one. Thanks to all...Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Hey Cruz.....or anyone with knowledge of the area....the wife and I are looking at moving to the Phoenix area for my job. I have alot of questions regarding "the good areas". I would appreciate any advice you might have. If you would like to keep this out of the forum, you can email me at csbrown@gilbaneco.com I am looking at the Black Canyon City area until a specific CG in Wickenburg clears out in Februaury. Thanks in advance, ChrisRe: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Ok....more questions. The wife and I are fulltimers. Needless to say, the quality of the carpet is not much. I was wondering if anyone had tried or researched the option of installing laminate flooring in their 35 rlts? I have looked at the slides and believe it can be done. My only problem is the transition at the dining room slide. Not exactly sure how that one will work out, but may play with it some before I go yanking out the carpet. I had intended on leaving the carpet under the couch / kitchen as it is still nice looking and doesnt get much foot traffic. I had also considered the bedroom, too. All thoughts and comments are appreciated.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!The only markings on the bulb is 120v 30 watt....its the odd shape that is hard to find. there is very limited space in there. I may end up changing the socket orientation to accomodate a different bulb. Where do you get access to the mixing valve? I wonder why it is needed. Typicaly, mixing valves are used to temper the water....i guess maybe the water heater is too hot?Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!OK....so I am having water heater issues. I dont think its the mixing valve as I can turn on the electric and water heats right up. Anyone had gas water heater problems? Also, where have you managed to buy replacement bulbs for the convec/micro (underside light)? Have not found them anywhere. May have to resort to calling MFG. Thanks in advance, The Browns
