It looks like Gros Ventre is going to be it.Re: 2021 Yellowstone / Teton Road Trip ReneeG wrote: Before you consider Gros Ventre, evaluate your comfort and expertise in backing into tight spaces. If you need a lot of room, go somewhere else. They still have non-electric sites available. I'm okay with tight spaces as long as the web site is accurate. We have a few campgrounds in Oregon that have some confusion about how to use a tape measure. It looks like this would be about 1.5 hours from Yellowstone. Thanks.Re: 2021 Yellowstone / Teton Road Trip BB_TX wrote: Have you checked Headwaters Campground at Flagg Ranch between Teton and Yellowstone? Yes - it's booked through Sept. That would have been my first choice. Thanks.2021 Yellowstone / Teton Road TripI'm looking for recommendations for campsites or RV sites in late August for a 32ft travel trailer. We are set up for boondocking but will likely need access to water and a dump station at some point. I'm leaning toward staying near Teton and taking day trips to Yellowstone due to availability. Colton Bay has some dry sites available but everything close to Yellowstone is pretty much sold out. (especially sites with water and power) I've never been there, so I'm unsure about roads/traffic coming in from the west (through Idaho Falls). Thanks.Re: Grand Design ImagineGrand Design knows about the axle issue on the Imagine trailers that came with a 2-3/8" diameter axle that are rated for 3500lb. If you are still under warranty they will replace them with 3" diameter axles of the same rating. You can check the sticker on the axle or call Grand Design and give them your VIN. And yes it is a Grand Design issue even though the axles are made by Dexter or Lippert. The manufacture is responsible for their sub-vendors. Good Luck.Re: Is a converter upgrade necessary anymore? time2roll wrote: DB Cooper wrote: The website says it’s a 3-stage that charges at 14.4 volts. Bring your voltmeter to verify. Please post the results. With my two new 6v batteries drained down to 11.2 volts, the charger didn’t go above 13.5v. Time for a converter - is the PD4655 still the one to buy or is there something new that I don’t know about? I will probably order from bestconverter.com again unless I find a deal somewhere.Re: Will it pull my trailer?I can't believe anyone is actual concerned with the OPs set up. Unless I missed something - I thought we were talking about a 3800 lb dry weight. Any lighter than that would be a tent trailer.Re: camping with CPAP (no electric hookup)Portable Battery/Power Generator Someone posted this on another site for CPAP users. I haven't tried it.Re: New Truck GrandpaKip wrote: Thanks, guys. The measurements were with the ball 1” higher than the tongue and no WD. The truck itself sits rear high while empty. I’ll take it to a parking lot to do the final tweaking with the WD chains hooked up. I noticed the newer trucks sit high in the rear. My '17 Ford drops about 3-4 inches with a 7-800 lb hitch. I think you will be amazed at how that truck tows that trailer. The newer trucks have come a long way as far a towing. Congrats on the new truck.Re: Grand Design Imagine TTWe liked Outdoors and I would prefer to buy from a local manufacturer here in Oregon. We bought the GD because they were more willing to make deal. It wasn't an apples to apples comparison because the GD was and '18 and the Outdoors was a '19 but there should not have been a $9k difference between similar bunkhouse models. The GDs have to be shipped across the country to get to Oregon.
