I'm still not ready yet to rescue another little kitty -- but one day I will. Until then, here's my tribute for my Roxanne: "Kitty Kisses in the Morning" Kitty kisses in the morning, What a way to start the day! Kitty kisses in the morning, Oh, how I wish you could stay. Kitty kisses in the morning, You brought me such joy and fun. Kitty kisses in the morning, Your absence leaves me undone. Thank you, Sweet Pea, for over 16 incredible years of fun and love. She traveled with us many miles during her almost 20 years on Earth. She will be missed. She looks like my first kitty I got when I was nine years old. Very very sorry for your heartbreak. At least I know I have done my part in finding out about him, so from now on Charlie is officially Charlie Daniels and clan. Charlie Daniels! Priceless! Thanks for making my day. :BRe: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} Dixie Flyer wrote: I say all of this to mention to you not to leave your animals tied outside if they are not being watched, it only takes a minute for something to happen that could have been avoided. The woods here are full of predators looking for an opportunity for an easy meal. Good advice! We see this all the time in Florida lakes. Glad you saved that stranger and her two dogs from another gator tragedy. Lots of folks will read your advice and be forewarned and safer. Good story!Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} Dixie Flyer wrote: This morning when I went to the shelter I was squating down when they released the dogs into the play area. The Golden Lab took one look and came over to me and licked my face. We were unloading my truck of some things I had brought with me so the doors were left open. We started looking for the Golden and he was no where to be found until I looked in the truck. There he was sound asleep lying on the floor behind the driver and passanger seat. I guess if you were looking for a sign that would have to be it. Oh, yes! Most definitely a sign. Have to smile over moments like this one!Re: Pet Pictures - READ MY STARTING POST B/4 POSTINGSuccess! Our first camping trip with our Boston. He was great! He was strapped here for a few minutes while we pack the rented RV. (did not travel in the front seat) So patient... Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} Dixie Flyer wrote: The magic still goes on as Old Fella lives through each of these moments where man and animal come together to help each other. As I look at Old Fella's photos that you have posted, the phrase "one lucky dog" came to my mind. Old Fella sure knew he was one lucky dog to find your family, Richard. We like to root for the underdog (no pun intended), and Old Fella's story is as classic as it gets. After the sadness subsides, the smiles will return. Old Fella's story will continue to touch people's hearts.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}Richard and Sue, Oh my goodness. How many hearts your family and Old Fella have touched over the years by bringing a ray of sunshine through your story. I've checked in from time to time to see how things were going. I am truly sad to know that this chapter has arrived. Please take care. And thank you for such an incredible journey.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos JimBollman wrote: It is actually very stable on the coffee can. :C I like that!! Small and functional.
