Our stuff never moves and the cabinet is really packed with stuff. Do you have any photos?Re: Questions abou t new (to me) Northern Lite SidecarFlip wrote: What I did (because my TC fits entirely in the bed (no bumper / back step), I went to Lowes and bought 2 lengths of round white PVC pipe, 2 caps and 2 external threaded adapters and threaded caps with 6 flat stand off's. I put one under each side of the camper proud of the bed rail, I store my sewer hose in one and 'stuff' in the other. Works real well and eliminated the where to store the sewer hose' issue. Do you have photos...would love to see your setup.Re: So what did you do to your Truck Camper today? Cabman 850 wrote: Installed the Lagun table mount for the dinette table. What a big difference, wish we would have done this sooner as it creates so much additional room. As noted, a tight fit, but now the front wardrobe on our Igloo is a lot more practical. Installed ELFA baskets. Had to assemble them inside the wardrobe because they are a tight fit but the space is now far more practical. I like it! So...it's just a free standing frame with drawers of various sizes? Where did you purchase yours? Do you have the model numbers by any chance?Re: Staying in Campgrounds with a Truck CamperI've been wondering the same thing. We just got our truck camper but we previously had a Sportsmobile van. One time we left our favorite chairs out to indicate occupancy and when we got back, the chairs were gone so we won't do that again. This was not a "seedy" campground neither. Had to buy new chairs to finish out our trip.Re: Venting AGM BatteriesThank you all. You guys seem to be split down the middle. I guess we'll just have to decide which way to go...hate to make another hole in the camper. Maybe, better safe than sorry.Venting AGM BatteriesWe would like to put two AGM batteries inside our truck camper under the dinette seat. My research is giving me mixed messages about venting so I wrote Lifeline and asked them. This is their reply: "They should be vented to the outside. They can safely sit under the dinette but they should be in a box and that box should be vented to the outside." I have read about many who have installed these batteries under the seats with no venting but maybe this is not safe to do?? What do you all think?Re: Generator vs Battery/Inverter/SolarOh my gosh...you guys are pretty impressive with your electrical knowledge. Thank you for the information...I'll see if somebody local can make some sense out of it!Re: Generator vs Battery/Inverter/Solar...Upgrade the charge capability from the truck. This involves running a larger charge cable separate from the 7 pin, through its own connector (a lift gate connector works well). There are many threads on how to do this. The reason for this is it will allow a much quicker charge when you begin driving, if the batteries have been discharged more than 20% or so. The wiring in the 7 pin cable does not allow for a heavy charge... HMS Beagle - I hate to bug you but I've been searching the web for more information and instructions for running the larger charge cable that you've mentioned. It's all Greek to me! Does this involve any rewiring with larger gauge wire in the camper? Will we still plug the camper into the 7 pin or will we have a different plug or an additional plug? Can you explain a little further or point me in the right direction for instructions?Re: Generator vs Battery/Inverter/SolarThanks HMS Beagle...that's perfect! That is exactly what we will be doing. Looking forward to the whole thing!
