You cannot access bathroom with slide in And that was the Open Range deal breaker for us. Otherwise, I had heard OR is a good unit. But I would never consider a fifthwheel that I couldn't access the bathroom and the fridge while at a stop on the road (slides in).Re: Need help choosing my next 5th wheel please. This is what we have: http://www.keystonerv.com/montana/models/3850fl-new/model-mobile. (Sorry if the link doesn't work. Copied it on my ipad) We have plenty of kitchen storage, and lots of kitchen counter space. On our unit I especially like the entry door in the rear of the unit, on the other side of the unit. Great cross ventilation, great for loading up at home and better for escaping in the event of an emergency.Re: Quality Rear Bunk HouseCheck out the Atlanta, Lexington, Manhattan and Phoenix: http://www.drvsuites.com/mobile-suites/floor-plans.html These are BEASTS (44' long) but they're gorgeous and many people use them to fulltime.Re: Why only one bed in a fifth wheel and why sooo tall? Our previous fiver was a mid profile bunkhouse that had two beds that we had residential twin size mattresses in, in addition to our Queen size bed in the master bedroom. We LOVE the spaciousness of our present model. And in addition to the king size master bed we have two Queen size pullout couches that our teenager like better than the bunks. Though they did like the bunks when they were younger.Re: Help with NEW bunkhouse.....You can order the Mountaineer with the four door refrigerator. Look on RV trader to see dealers who have it. Most will have pictures. Or you can do a Google images search for it and you'll see the four door fridge. EDIT: actually Keystone shows it in their pictures: http://www.keystonerv.com/mountaineer/models/356tbf-new/model And in rereading your original post I realize you're looking at the OTHER Mountaineer bunkhouse! This one has the outdoor kitchen too!Re: Help with NEW bunkhouse.....How old are your kids? We ended up getting a Montana front lounge unit after my 16 year old said, "please, no more bunks." For the last three years she slept on the pull out couch instead of her bunk whenever we went camping. My husband prefers using the portable grill over an outside kitchen and we all prefer more inside space.Re: 2 separate blow outs on I-75 S/B in Georgia (Fifth Wheel)So sorry to hear about your blow outs. Come over and join the Montana Owners forum. There is a whole section on tires there. We bought our Montana, joined the forum, read the tire sub forum and couldn't get rid of those Marathons fast enough. You'll find other bits of invaluable info there too. You won't be able to see much until you register, so don't let it throw you off if you go over to just "check it out" it looks like there are no posts for over a year till you join.Re: Must Have, Don't NeedWe have a Montana Front Lounge 3850FL 1. Stackable Washer and Dryer, 6 point LevelUp, fireplace, 2nd entry door on opposite side of unit, 2 ACs. 2. Bigger shower, more room around the kitchen table. 3. King size bed. We like it ok, but wouldn't miss it if we had a Queen. 4. LOVE the washer and dryer! Absolutely no issues. No issues with the dishwasher as long as she's had a glass of wine at dinner, lol. 5. Don't have or want an outdoor kitchen. Use the fireplace literally every evening without the heat on (haven't camped in the cooler months yet.)Re: New 5th wheel thoughtsYou could rig an outdoor kitchen. Most front living room models have space under the rear bedroom, although it's not huge. We keep our camp chairs in there. But, yes, outdoor kitchens are found only on bunkhouse/family oriented models. Front living room models are considered more of a "couples coach"Re: Walkers JayGee wrote: Just start asking them personal questions every time they go through. How old are you? What did you have for breakfast? Is your camper paid for? Would you like to buy some life insurance? Hey got a minute to help me wax my camper? Or, just set out a row of chairs or tables that they must move every time they go through. ^ This ^ Definitely my favorite suggestion!
