Not that heavy, truck has so much capacity it wouldnt make a difference, weight wise if I removed them. Helps make it even more stable when off the truck, kinda like outriggers, with blocks I have, I can also have them down when lifting off the truck...
I've had these on my camper for at least 5 years, not sure about fuel savings, but it does help with suction dirtying up rear end. Not perfect, but reduced.
