I bought my truck camper from New Mexico, drove from Florida to pick it up, one of my favorite trips in all my years. The whole point of having truck campers is to have adventures, I vote for you going to pick it up, and let the great adventures begin.Re: Bigfoot sewer hose storageSewer house on my Bigfoot goes in the bumperRe: How safe are you when boondockingI'm with sleepy on this one.Re: Air Tabs InstalledNot that heavy, truck has so much capacity it wouldnt make a difference, weight wise if I removed them. Helps make it even more stable when off the truck, kinda like outriggers, with blocks I have, I can also have them down when lifting off the truck, camper is real high when removing.Re: Air Tabs Installed I've had these on my camper for at least 5 years, not sure about fuel savings, but it does help with suction dirtying up rear end. Not perfect, but reduced.Re: Reality Check - Camper WeightAs I stated on your other thread, when I had my camper, the same as yours ,on my f250, it weighed in at 11750 loaded, full everything. I do have a 55 gallon fuel tank on the truck, which was full. I went with the vision wheels and bridgestone tires, I was very happy with the combo, but then a deal came I couldn't pass up on a Kodiak and I switched. Problem with the Kodiak is its great when loaded, but a bucking bronco when unloaded.I can't remember front vs rear weight, but it was what I expected, unlike yours.Re: My new (to me) truck camper and my projects with pictures. That's a great rig, I like a lot of what you've done,I have what appears to be the same camper, I originally put it on my 2005 f250 6.0. I took it on a cat scale, and if I am not mistaken it came in at 11,750 lbs. Might be good to know, especially if you plan on towing as well.Re: Regular gasoline priced higher than diesel 69 Avion wrote: When I was young, diesel was $.25 per gallon and gasoline was $.35 per gallon. Since diesel is a crude fuel, it amazes me that for the last 20 years or so, diesel has cost more than gasoline. It sounds like the public is getting ripped off again. Maybe where you are its been that way for that long , but everywhere i've been its only been less than 10 years of this, 8 or 9 at most. It still costs less than gas to produce, cost, supply and demand have nothing to do with cost at the pump anymore, its driven by speculators.Re: Ripping mad Bonefish wrote: Well! By cutting the length of time the "Yellow" traffic light stays yellow by 0.3 seconds generated an additional BILLION dollars from traffic tickets revenue for Florida. I guess they were just doing it to slow the traffic down.:R If by billions you mean millions, ok. Didn't get an extra billion down here, someones pulling your leg , or using fox news math, again.Re: Dometic RM2820 Not Getting ColdNew heating element arrived, checked it with ohm meter, installed it and fridge is fixed, working properly
