All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Comparing Weights Brochure vs. Shipped Yellow StickerI think it is pretty good, compared to what people often claim. The main thing to me is the GVWR is right, and that cargo carrying was actually understated. Shipping weight listing on the brochure seems to be an anomaly as it obviously doesn't jive with cargo and GVWR. By the stories you hear on forums it is usually like: "All I had was fresh water and I was 200 lbs over the stated GVWR on the scale!" MikeRe: Any one use Access Database? To answer the question at hand, you can't have it both ways: you can sort by either ID or Title. There really is no reason to care about having ID in order unless you want to see the order of entry. I'd be more interested in sorting by song, artist, date of release, etc. You should probably think about having Artist and Song tables that are related to the Cassette table. This way every song and artist is only stored once and then related to the cassette table. MikeRe: Fresh Water tank puzzleCan you put more water in the tank after it overflowed? I know I am able to get more water in after the first "overflow." After the first overflow I reduce water pressure and it runs for some time. Also, RV makers sometimes, if not often, include the capacity of the hot water tank when stating fresh water capacity. I believe in your case it is a 12 gallon hot water heater so if they counted that it would take capacity down to 56 gallons. (How you are ever supposed to use the water in hot water tank, without draining it, is beyond me.) MikeRe: Online shopping while on the road 2oldman wrote: You guys are a hoot sometimes. Purchasing products online is different from using the physical card buying gas or food. I have tried to buy online using Amex, and if the shipping and billing addresses didn't match, THAT was a big problem. Cancel the card? I doubt that, but it's not inconceivable Amex would text me and ask me if that's what I did. I stopped getting paper statements years ago. Just to appease everyone, I'll rephrase: " You may have to change your CC address for the card to go through." I have bought dozens if not hundreds of items using my Amex card--all delivered to a different shipping address than billing address. It is common practice, and indeed must be done for buying gifts online. I would definitely not recommend changing your CC address while on the road just to receive a package. Any address change to an account that reports to credit agencies will be retained long after you have changed it back or to someplace else. That can be a negative. In addition, the address change might not be instantaneous as far as card authorizations. For example the zip code that is needed at many gas pumps to authorize a CC transaction can take days to weeks to reflect a change (i.e, the old zip code will work but not the new). Matchlight is impregnated with lighter fluid. Fire starters use wax and/or an accelerant, depending on the type. I don't burn plastic in my fires. MikeRe: Campfire smoke GordonThree wrote: Once I ran out of the pressed wax fire-starters, so I made my own. I always have a huge supply of plastic grocery bags for cleaning up after my dog, so I grab a few unused bags and a few sheets of paper towel. Twist them tightly together into a log like shape. Sit in the fire pit, stack some kindling and logs loosely around it and light. Usually works good unless the pit and wood are soaked... then its time for lighter fluid to dry things out a bit :) Did I read this correctly that you are burning plastic bags along with paper towel? MikeRe: Dometic Duo Them air conditionerIf it is freezing up it might be due to cold air bleeding back into the return line. High humidity exacerbates the issue. This is just to test both at the same time to see how fast the trailer cools down.. we have a dedicated 30 amp circuit with a 30 amp rv plug run to the pedestal at our house. I am the first to say that I am 100% clueless when electric is involved. . Roof Air Conditioner (Continuous) 11.4 Did you actually measure that draw? Specs for a brand new Dometic 13.5k btu ac show the most efficient model rated at 11 amps for the compressor and 2.5 amps for the fan. A 15k is 12.9 for the compressor and the same 2.5 for the fan. Either way 11.4 seems great if that is what it is actually drawing for compressor and fan. MikeRe: RGV or AZ this Winter? joebedford wrote: When I said "motorcycle riding is a zero", I didn't mean it didn't exist. Even in RGV there are groups of riders who go out multiple times a week - to lunch, breakfast, bars, etc. I'm very much a "it's the journey not the destination" kind of guy. There are plenty of rides from Yuma that are not small rides. What you are describing, the in-town rides, are more like socializing than riding (not a bad thing). But within 3 hours from Yuma you have a wealth of places to ride. You can go to Lake Havasu to the north, Wikieup to the northeast, Phoenix to the east, and San Diego to the west, All within 3 hours. That is not counting Mexico, if you feel so inclined. Mike
