You bought a unit off the lot with table and chairs and you want a booth and you want the dealer to pay for it?? Ummm.... No.... If I was the dealer.. ;) Unless the dealer agreed for that before the deal was made, I'd say the dealer has no obligation to do that for you.. And $500 sounds about right to me.. :) Good luck! Mitch We had not bought the trailer at that time and asked that the table/chairs be changed to a booth dinette. We were told it would cost $500 plus labor. Isn't a booth dinette like a downgrade, no? If you buy a trailer off the lot, with table and chairs you paid for them If you ordered a TT with the dinette it may have cost less than what you bought on the lot. If you want to trade your table and chairs for a dinette, then to change it would be considered a renovation to what is already there and would cost you the money. Dealers are not in business to do things for nothing. If you had wanted a dinette then you should have only considered TT with one. Sorry but the dealer is correct this time.Re: Chevy Avalanche questionWe have a 2012 Avalanche now and also had a 2003. When we stop on the road say for lunch, truck turned off, the TT is not pulling from the truck, only from the TT battery.Re: Taking a dump at home is soooo easy... Where do you dump? The Canadian fans with no hesitation immediately picked up the tune and sang it the rest of the way through. That's class, folks. SALUTE! GM Not to hard to do since most of the people from Toronto are wanabe New Yorkers :p It has nothing to do with where you think people want to be.Re: Are there any mfrs with bad overall reputations?I think that there are lemons, Monday morning trailers etc with every manufacturer. We will all have different opinions and fav's so to get a fair responce will be hard. If you do your homework, read a lot, listen and talk to technicians not salesmen you will get good info. The only thing we found when looking at TT and we saw a lot was that the quality of interiors were about equal. Sure you can get the fancier models with solid/granite counter tops, tile and wood floors and fancy light fixtures etc but that is just cosmetic. Look at the "foundation " of the TT. Just like you would be buying your house. Also we found that the "entry level" TT were made to the same standards and quality as the more expensive models. Enjoy looking and shopping for an RV. You can help yourself as much or more than someone else can by doing your homework.Re: Need Christmas IdeasA good battery operated drill for doing the jacks. Lights to mount on the back of the TT so he can see backing into a site at night. Electric jack if you only have a crank. Covers for the tiresRe: Travel trailer InusranceWe are in Ontario so our policies may be different from in the US. We have a a separate policy for our TT. It has a full replacement value, no depreciation, fire, theft and liability. Contents come under this policy also. Coverage is year round and is $500 deductible. We pay $190 Canadian a year.Re: For Canadian RV'ers crossing U.S. borderOur kids just took a trip to Florida with kids. They took the fifth wheel. They bought all fresh fruit, veggie and meats across the border. As far as dry goods and cans they just left things as they had been all summer. Some in original packaging and some like sugar and salt in plastic containers. They were not asked if their RV could be checked either way over border.Re: Wrong RV furnitureIf you haven't bought it then don't if you do not get the results you like. Our TT was new but the dealer took 2 stools out for another customer. The dealer offered us the choice of taking some of a different style he had in stock or he would order the exact ones.
