There are those who frown on using the stove top to warm up the camper, arguing the fumes and monoxide potential. To us the issue is not what you stated, but the immense amount of moisture created by burning LP. Been there. Not worth the heat, even over a very short period. You could even go to something like Vue or Sling if you want a closer to cable experience versus Netflix, Hulu, etc. The problem with this scenario is that all of this streaming draws down bandwidth from everyone else..particularly those who don't stream. Many RV parks which provide WiFi find their bandwidth stressed to the max and beyond. Understandably, they aren't willing to invest big (yes big) bucks in new infrastructure, and where will it end? If you must have all of that stuff, take responsibility for it and provide your own. We use DISH with portability. Nothing is perfect, but we have been satisfied with them.Re: Parking the 5er voodoo101 wrote: our best bet is for me to survey the site and for DW to just alert me to any impending danger such as too close to a limb. Yep. We've been doing it that way almost from the beginning 16 years ago. No need for her to give directions nor for me to try to follow them. It's rare that I don't nail it 1st try.Re: Creamy Parmesan Garlic Mushroom Chicken fpoole wrote: Yah, chicken is a tough one to determine when done.. The best way is to get an instant read digital meat thermometer. They're inexpensive and accurate. I avoid the whole problem with chicken breasts by not eating them! For some inexplicable reason my wife prefers white meat, which I find relatively bland and more temperamental to cook than the succulent, juicy dark meat that is exclusive to my chicken consumption. No accounting for taste. :)Re: Full Time Address - AZWe've used my wife's sisters address as our legal residence for years. Once a month or so, we get in touch, tell her what to discard (most of it), and she then forwards the remainder via priority mail to wherever we happen to be. Has worked just fine and postage aside the 'service' is FREE!Re: Hot Shower Old-Biscuit wrote: Another option.......learn to conserve RV water usage. Ya think? Bravo!Re: RV propane tank replacementAs others have said: Wire brush it off, paint it if you must, and worry about other things! (or not) I highly recommend the NOT part :) The likelihood that you will experience a rupture is incalculably slim.Re: Tomato JuiceThanks for all of the replies. I buy it the way I buy it because I'm thrifty (cheap), one of the reasons we have been on the road for 16 years. One of 4 degrees I hold is a BS in biochemistry and I still don't understand why, with pasteurization and the added salt, it goes south so quickly at optimal temperatures. And no, I will never get used to fizzy TJ. Someone tried to introduce me to TJ infused beer back in my youth. YUCK!!Tomato JuiceWe enjoy TJ both stand alone and in the occasional bloody mary. We buy it in the large can and then decant it into a plastic container which is then stored in the fridge. Our RV fridge is measured at 35 to 37 degrees consistently. The problem? We can barely get to 7 days before it shows signs of fermentation. Carbonation and a sour taste. This next to a 1/2 gallon of milk still fresh after 2 weeks! Any thoughts?Re: Propane or Electric water heaterIf you are paying for both propane and electric, propane is frequently less expensive. The following is very handy for comparing your situations: http://www.propane101.com/propanevselectricity.htm
