How difficult was this drive? Anything in particular to be aware of, tips, advice, etc.?? I will be driving a Class C, not towing anything. Thanks in advance, appreciate it!Re: Need help finding Florida campgroundThank you all for the good suggestions. I'll give them a shot and hopefully will find something, even it means moving around a bit, which I really don't mind. Thanks again all!Need help finding Florida campgroundWe just got an opportunity to get away from the Northeast winter for a few weeks. We are hoping to head south to Florida for a couple of weeks or so but are having a hard time finding a campground. We are looking to head to the west coast, or even the Keys, and need a place beginning March 10 for at least a couple of weeks (or more). Is anyone staying at a campground anywhere that has any openings? I know this is a last minute thing and most places are booked, but was hoping someone may know of a place. Thanks in advance for your help!Re: Inside wall refinish back to factory look.I am going through the same problem. I used a wallpaper blade and cut along three sides of the "pimple" and pulled the wallpaper back. I found a very hard white substance which I can only assume is some kind of mold. I used Clorox Cleanup on a paper towel and applied it to the white stuff. With some gentle but firm scrubbing, it pretty much dissolved into the paper towel. I then took some white vinegar and applied it to the spot and let it dry. After it was dry I glued the paper back into place. You can't even notice where the cuts were made. By the way, these "pimples" formed under a bedroom window. When I checked it out I found that two screws were missing from the window frame, apparently never put in at the factory. I replaced the screws, and after about a month so far, the pimples have not returned.Tamiami Trai FloridaWe will be in the Florida Keys in a couple of weeks. When we leave there we will be heading north to the Naples area for a week or so. My question is, has anyone taken the Tamiami Trail across Southern Florida? If so, is it an RV friendly road, or would we be better off just sticking to I-75 across Florida?? We have a 33 foot Class C Coachmen Concord. Also, any recommended campgrounds in the Naples/ Ft. Myers area and any other helpful info would be appreciated. Thanks all!Re: New Concord 300DSI have a 2014 Concord 301SS with the same set up. I have never had a problem with it hitting on anything, or causing any damage. Also, your interpretation of its use seems to be correct. Good luck with your new Concord. We love ours!Re: Which gas stabilizer?Star Tron. Works great in all gas engines, not only for storage but cleans carbs and injectors as well.Re: State sticker mapHey WNYBob, Just purchased one from www.signsoflife.net. This is a high quality one with full colored states, not like the CW one. I am very satisfied with what I got!Re: Looking for Class C terminologyI have a 2014 Coachmen Concord, Class C (although some refer to it as a B+). It does not have the front overhang, but rather has an aerodynamic front end cap that begins at the cab roofline. Not sure if this is what you are referring to, but if so, I can tell you we love everything about ours!Re: 2013 explorer and corrosion on hood ??Just an update to my earlier post: Finally got in touch with the Ford rep today. She offered to pay $500 toward the cost of fixing the hood, which she told me would be a total of $780, and that I would have to pay the remaining balance of $280. (The body shop manager at the dealership told me he would repair it for $600, so don't know why the sudden increase in price). Anyway I told her I was not happy about that and felt Ford should be responsible for the entire amount since it is an obvious manufacturing defect. I pointed out the numerous complaints on several websites about this problem and that the body shop manager told me it is a common problem on these Explorers. I also reminded her of Ford's motto of "Quality is job #1" and asked her if this is what Ford considers "Quality." I also asked her if I should expect a vehicle produced by Ford to start deteriorating after two years?? She then said she would increase her offer to $600 toward the cost of the repair, but under no circumstances would they pay the full price. So I guess I have to accept their offer, as she reminded me in a rather snooty tone that they didn't have to give me anything. I did tell her though I was going to file a complaint with the NHTSA and the Better Business Bureau Auto Line. I don't think anything will come of it, but at least this problem will go on record---and who knows, if they get enough complaints, maybe something good will come of it! I did file the complaint with the NHTSA online today, now just waiting to get the form for the BBB Auto Line.
