That looks like a lovely fit on the inside! Does that couch fold out into a wider bed? Yes, 184BH, not RB - good catch! The small couch doesn't fold into a bed, but you can mod it if you wish. You can also fit an adult on the floor (if you need an extra bed), legs under the dinette for maximum comfort, now I know it's sound crazy, but we did it once with a family guest (17 old), and he slept like a bear :) I Also wish to mention that you can take the table outdoor if need be The door is in the front and no closet/wardrobe/cabinet next to the seating area - that give a feeling of a VERY open space - room to breathe, you can't get that impression from a web pic. About Hybrids... The ends beds on the Hybrids are always 18" shorter then the Rv unit. so make sure you are comfortable with the beds length on a narrow floorplans (side to side) The 184BH is only 7 feet wide, but has a VERY good size beds (on all of them)Re: Bunkhouse + Outdoor Kitchen + Short +Storage = FantasylandYee... what you want only exist in Fantasyland... We share the same interest, small TT that cover the basics. Allow me to recommend you the Jay Flight SLX 185BH it is light wight and 20 feet long (bumper to bumper), and great for a family of 4 The only thing it's lack off is outside kitchen, I got a Coleman 3 burner stove, and a big jug of portable water to overcome it. Now... You need to step in one to fully appreciate the floor plan, pictures of that model on the web do not do justice. P.S I didn't even consider this model while I was shopping as I was locked on Hybrids, stepped in one by chance/curiosity on the dealer lot and I was hooked! Re: Choosing my first trailerI tow a TT with my Jeep Wrangler (rated for 3500lb towing capacity) I got a Jay Flight SLX 185RB (2015) It is 7 feet wide and less then 9.5 feet tall, so no much of wind resistance. The SLX line was designed for small V6 vehicles Mine is 20 feet long (bumper to bumper) and 2800lb empty (3200lb loaded) We are a family of 4, so the 184BH floor plan really work for us. Now... Old-Biscuit wrote: Only if tranny starts hunting gears........ If it just downshifts due to grade and then upshifts afterwards no. I towed my old pop-up around Canada all summer long on overdrive, Jeep NEVER hunted for gears, but when I had to change the gear oil I wished that I did turn off the overdrive... (Black and lots of metal shavings) Now when I tow (pop-up or TT), I always turn off the overdrive - ALWAYS! Re: Life is too short.....You must post pics here when you get it!Re: Which size RV to tow Jeep Wrangler on trailer?Just as FYI, I tow my 20 feet Jayco TT (3200lb loaded) with my 4dr 2010 Rubicon (3500lb towing capacity) all summer long. For the record, the exact same Wrangler in Europe (3.8 gas) is rated for 7400lb. Sleep 4 (bank house), small towing foot print = only 7 feet wide, 9.5 feet tall (with AC). Re: Lifting A Travel Trailer Hondavalk wrote: OP stated, "Would like to have the ability to lift our TT off the ground". Adding another set of stabilizers will still not allow you to lift the TT off the ground because of the weight limits of the 4 that you already have. Using the aluminum stabilizers to lift the Rv off the ground was not my intent. I am under the impression that the OP wish to lift the RV off the ground because he wanted better stability, the aluminum stabilizers can help with that if used under the wheels (springs) Sorry if I misunderstood.Re: Lifting A Travel TrailerIf you just want to stabilize the trailer all you need is "Camco 44560 Olympian RV Aluminum Stack Jack" (4pk for $50, each stabilizer rated for 6000lb) The trick is to place one stabilizer beside on each wheel, that will take the load of the springs and support the frame. Re: RPOD 177 and 180I don't own one, but I will opt to the 180 if you ask me. In the past (before the Rpod 180 was available) I had the chance to take a look at the Rpod 177, and the shower-toilet combo was a deal breaker for me. That was the main reason that I NEVER consider any Rpod models. If you are a single or a couple, the Rpod 180 has a very spacious floor plan (relative to the other Rpod floor plans) If you have kids or grand kids, then maybe you should consider a different brand/model. Re: Quality with Thor Products vs Loving the Floorplan? What you really need is a good RV dealer to support your make/model. I got a Jayco (a good brand if you ask me), and my Jayco RV dealer in my neighborhood has jump through hoops on fire to make sure all my warranty issues has been solved to my satisfaction. More the one time the owner of that RV dealer has approach me in person and ask what else can he do for me, and keep asking me to not hold back my worries or complaints. Last week my salesman call me to make sure I didn't forget to winterize the RV, and reminded me that they are having free winterization seminars on Saturdays + coffee and doughnuts. They also supplied a color printed step by step winterization instructions that are specific to my model/unit - so I will not screw it up. IMO, a good RV dealer that fully backup and support the brand he sell is the KEY.
