They all work pretty much the same with a few different bells and whistles. Good Luck with whatever you decideRe: Exterior Windshield Cover IssuesAnother vote for the adco. Strip goes over door and maget is in pocket of material. As stated the magnets never actually touch the metal of the door. Have never had an issue.Re: 2017 Honda CR-V flat towable?Have a 2014 CRV and as stated it was the last year they could be towed 4 down. The CVT tranny is not towable. Same thing happend to Subaru around 2010.Re: Safeco RV insuranceJust make sure they aren't including a "new customer" discount. This will disappear after the first year (or possibly even 6 months) and so will your $200. BTW, there are lots of companies that do this.Re: How to clean the weep holes?pipe cleaners also work well.Re: Thinking of downsizing from DP to ViewWe downsized from a 2001 Newmar, Kountry Star DP (which we owned for almost 15 years) to a 2016 Forest River, Forester Class C. We are not full-timers but I am retired so we have the opportunity to use our rig quite a bit. Now that the kids and grandkids are grown it is mostly just me, the Supreme Commander and the two four-legged fur kids. Have throughly enjoyed the rig. Lots of storage inside and out, plenty of room for the two of us and floor plan works great. We didn't need the up front bed so we got the entertainment center. Have only had two issues, a couple of minor leaks due to caulk not run in a continuous bead. Both found and fixed easily. No other issues. The V10 is a great engine as is the 6 speed tranny. We travel over the coast range (to the Oregon coast) towing a Honda CRV. Very good performance and decent gas mileage, all things considered. Good luck with your decision, hope everything works out for you.Re: Christmas gift ideas for RV'ersHoping for a dash cam. Seems like everone takes it as a personal challenge to pull out in front of a motorhome. Dash cam won't prevent it but will supply evidence of just what happened.Re: What's on your RV Christmas list?Street Guardian dash camRe: Extended Warranty - Good thing ? Is it necessary ?This argument rates right up there with Ford or Chev, gas or diesel, etc. If you have the full 8k right now they yes put it in the bank. If you need to finance the 8k then ask yourself what you can afford now to fix if it goes bad. Engine, trans, fridge, etc. Yes, lots of them do their best to get out of it but you also hear a lot of folks that got more than their money out of it. Look at one that is an exclusion type contract. It lists what is excluded, easier to figure out than what all is covered. Also get incidental damage, if a covered part takes out a non-covered part they will also cover it. Is it a good deal? Depends, auto and home insurance aren't very good deals, well until you need it. It often boils down to peace of mind. Keep researching and you'll find both arguments strongly endorsed. Good luck with your search.Re: Beverly Beach State Park Oregonromore nailed it. It is also one of our favorites. In a great area. Good park, well maintained, and sites are very good.
