The standard 1" lift on the half ton is interesting but other then that I don't see anything any more functional than any other truck out there. I must be missing something ...Re: I HAD To Buy New Tires hbillsmith wrote: RedRocket204 wrote: Only problem with that chart is that Sailun S637T only comes in a 16" size. I know your chart indicates sizing for your application but it doesn't do me or anyone else any good with 15" or smaller wheels. Sorry Sailun's are available for you, but hopefully the Maxxis-Endurance info is helpful. I just put the Sailun 637T on my 5th wheel - very impressed so far!Re: Anything new in batteries for solarLots of alternatives if you are willing to pay the money. Large lithium battery banks can cost several thousands of dollars while a lead acid or AGM etc.. will be a fraction of that. Lithium is lighter and can be discharged to a deeper rate which means you can have a smaller amphour size bank. Still the cost though upfront is significant. This is a pretty good video comparing and contrasting benefits http://www.gonewiththewynns.com/sailboat-tech-why-lithium-batteriesRe: Amp RatingI think you are confusing Amp Hour with Amp. Amp Hour is a metric used in storage for how many amps (flow) can be drawn from a battery bank over a course of time before discharged. Amp by it self is current (flow in the common analogy) On google: Voltage is measured in volts, current is measured in amps and resistance is measured in ohms. A neat analogy to help understand these terms is a system of plumbing pipes. The voltage is equivalent to the water pressure, the current is equivalent to the flow rate, and the resistance is like the pipe size. What are amps, watts, volts and ohms? | HowStuffWorks science.howstuffworks.com/environmental/energy/question501.htmRe: Honda and onboard PSW inverter?I know the magnum inverter/charger hybrid gizmo has built in load sharing functionality which supplements either shiore or gen set power. The best part?! It's available now and can be yours for somewhere around $2000. Haha crazy money for that doohickeyRe: Toy Hauler with KidsWe had BH TT sand went to a TH for several reasons. Boondock 99% of the time. Besides hauling toys like ATVs or kayaks we have room for kids bikes etc in side. Also the huge water and holding tanks are a plus. BH TT had a single 40g fresh tank. The TH has a 120g fresh tank. Also the amount of bed space is a big deal. the two king size bunks gives us the opportunity to have several people now go with us camping. I believe it was every dollar going from the bunkhouse to the toy hauler.Re: New Cyclone at RV ShowNever had a problem with mine yet. They don't have the lower supports that typical awnings have though so I am more careful with it. General common sense though if it's storming out or especially gusty then none of the awnings are out.Re: Anyone use one of these?Never seen one of those. I know of a guy that had installed lifts on the back of class As for motorcycles and trikes though. Really kind of a cool dealRe: Fifth Wheel Lube Plate ????Get one it's worth it and they are cheapRe: what kind of fifth wheel can I tow with a SRW? rvshrinker wrote: I am getting a full ton RAM but only want the SRW. It will have the diesel and the AISIN transmission, it is a short bed Mega Cab. I just don't want a dually. I would rather have a smaller trailer or even a travel trailer than a dually. I wouldn't spend the extra money for the Aisin unless you're getting a dually. There are a lot of reasons but mostly It's 3k that you're not going to get much extra use out of especially if you're a recreational rv'er. The 68RFE is solid tranny that is more than capable for the weights a SRW will be pulling. I've got a 35ft toy hauler that I pull with a mega cab. I used to have a long box crew can but I switched to the mega because of the extra space in the cab. It's really nice to be able to recline those rear seats! I did buy a B&W slider hitch but I have yet to use the slider once. The way the front if the toyhauler is designed I can still make some sharp turns without hitting the cab!
