I was told by the tech that wired my Winegard Satellite dish to tell them that I wanted a Genie and a client. When I talked to the agent on the phone I told them just that and the agent told me I couldn't have a genie because I already have one in the house. If I tell them I am going to put them in the RV they will try to put them on a separate account and I don't want that. Have any of you ran into this and if so how did you approach it?Re: Buy or RentI doubt that we will ever sell our place here in Indiana. Thanks for all the great advice.Re: Buy or RentGood advice to be sure. I'me sure that you probably have to make a reservation a good bit in advance if you plan on renting.Buy or RentHello to everyone. My wife and I are planning our retirement which will start next year, possibly the year after. We have a 41ft fiver and we are going to the Ft.Myers area the first of April to look around at different places to stay during the cold winter months. My question is should we buy or rent a place to stay. If we buy we would probably stay down there longer. If we rent probably Jan thru March. Looking forward to hearing what you have to say.Ram SRWAfter doing some research it appears that the only gear ratio I can get in a 3500 SRW Ram is 3:42. My wife and I bought a 2017 Redwood 38rl and are going to be getting a different TV. She doesn't want a dually and I would rather not have one but may have to get one if the SRW doesn't cut the mustard.Re: New or UsedThanks everyone for the opinions. Dutchmen Sport, I have been to about all the dealers that you have mentioned. I was impressed with Walnut Ridge and Modern Trailer at Anderson. Everything about those two were impressive. Very organized. If I buy new it will probably be one of those two. You mention buying horse feed supplement at Wallace Grain. I drive one of their semis. I know pretty close where you are located. When we left Modern Trailer we turned west and went straight to Lapel. Small world.New or UsedMy wife and I are in pre-retirement mode. We owned a travel trailer about 30 years ago and would like to buy a 5er to travel and to spend the winters in a warmer location. We have located a used 2013 Redwood that is priced at roughly half the price of a new one. We have not looked at it in person yet but will probably do so. We have also looked at a new Heartland Big Country at a local dealer and like it a lot. I would like your opinions about buying used as opposed to new. I have decided that if I buy used it will probably be no older that 3 to 5 years old. Also if any of you own a Redwood let me know how if it has been a good experience.
