There are a few different versions and sizes. They have multiple settings and some you can set manually also. People seem to love them and I am thinking of getting one for home and rv use.Re: Tornado SafetyA few years ago friends of ours, in a very large new camper parked overnite on their way home from a gathering we had been at with them that week. Can't remember if they stopped to overnight in a Cabela's or a Campers World parking lot. Their camper was hitched to their heavy tow vehicle. While asleep the tornado sirens went off and he stood up from bed and that's all either of them can remember. Their camper was rolled many times and totally demolished, but somehow they both survived with just broken bones and cuts. It was the weight of their tow vehicle that keep their camper from flying off. There were a few other campers overnighting there too, but not everyone was so lucky. Luckily it was the edge winds that hit that parking lot which is why they are both alive. (someone in another camper died). They thought they lost their cat but the next day it came crawling out of their totally flattened camper. So even though the chances of ever being hit by a tornado is low, it could happen. Please use common sense and get inside a concrete building if possible. Don't stay inside a camper, they blow apart or are totally flattened. By the way because the camper was attached to their vehicle the vehicle insurance helped pay and they were able to buy a brand new just as fancy camper as the one they lost. He said if they had unhooked it from the vehicle they would have received less insurance money (plus they would have probably died). My choice between being in a camper and a large vehicle is choose the vehicle if you have no other choice. Please use common sense and try to get into an underground or concrete shelter if you have any time. And always travel with an emergency weather radio (that would have alerted them sooner).Re: UGLY!!!We went to an RV show two weeks ago and the difference between this show and the ones we used to go to every single year was: I couldn't tell by the outside colors and designs between one manufacturer and another. You used to easily tell which company made the campers you were looking at. They all seem to be the same dark browns and swirls on the outside. Insides were basicly the same colors and counters. We went in one that actually had light beize walls and it was so much lighter inside even with the dark cabinets and counter tops. I even told the salesman that it was the only one I entered that looks any different than every other manufacturer at the show. We were looking at big 5th wheels mostly. We were also looking for 5th wheel toy haulers but there were only two at the whole show. I do understand why toy haulers would be decorated in darker colors and vinyl furniture. To help hide the dirt brought in from using the toys. We are looking for a 5th wheel toy hauler to handle a large three wheel handicapped vehicle. However we aren't finding many options locally.Re: Do NOT be this guy---PICI don't mean to be rude but how intelligent could he be?Re: These things aren't just RVsWhat a heartwarming story! Not only is this young husband wonderful, but the two women who redid the camper and yet were willing to part with it are both wonderful people also!Re: Looking for a Good, Solid, Short New FiverSomewhere recently I read a person recommend not buying a camper, 5er, motor home if the heavy refrigerator is on a sideout. Apparently they had a lot of issues when heavy items were on a slide out. Just something to consider. I am sure there are others who own campers with refrigerators on a slideout that haven't had any problems. Just something to consider before you purchase.Re: Natural Cough DropsThanks for this post and the best part is they are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free so I can use them.Re: Deception Pass for New Years making a PizzaI want you to know I only watched your video to see how your pizza came out of camper oven. Then I saw you were making a gluten free crust and thought wow, hopefully it will be good. I was almost rolling on the floor when I heard you only picked up the gluten free pizza mix cause it was what store had available for a pizza crust mix. Luckily you put tons of great toppings on your pizza. I have been medically forced to eat gluten free for close to four years-I have yet to find a decent tasting pizza crust. I agree with your cat, I would probably have turned up my nose at that gluten free crust. Thanks for a fun video.Re: Shingles,,, how many have gotten shingles after vaccination!I realize this is an old post but wanted to comment. I got the shingles shot within days of age my insurance would pay for it. The reason was my dad got shingles right before you heard of the vaccination for it. He suffered for the last 6 or 7 years of his life with daily nerve pain. Every night before bed he had to have a salve put on the scare trail to help the pain lessen enough so he could sleep. Supposedly if you have the shot you might get shingles but they believe it will not be as severe as if you hadn't had the vaccination. I pray no one ever gets such a bad case as my dad had.Re: Will RV parks have a problem with this toyhauler?Thank you for showing a picture of the 5th wheel toy hauler you want to purchase. Last week we went to an RV show looking for a 5thwheel toy hauler and at the show I mentioned to my spouse "I wonder if they make horse trailer 5th wheels with camper section and toy hauler instead of horse stalls. Spouse thought I was nuts. So your post came at perfect time. Is it possible for you to send me a private message telling me a link for one like you showed. I did internet search but didn't have any luck finding them. Thank you!
