Very tight turns and and few places to pull out to allow traffic behind you to pass. Take a look on Google earth to see what you would be driving through.Re: US 395 in California395 in the summer can present challenges. If you travel south to north, consider the grades and outside temperatures. North to south means long grades and braking. Winds can be a problem too. Sometimes the CHP will restrict traffic because of the high cross winds. Be prepared to wait out the wind. We have made many trips up and down 395. Good road. Two lane from Bridgeport to Walker. The road winds to follow the canyons and then the river.Re: Can a generator get rained on?As a retired fire captain I have experience with Honda generators in wet conditions. Our light plants were based on a 1000 watt Honda generator with a flood light attached. We used them outside, inside, when ever and where ever needed. They stand in water, mud, at odd angles and get rained on. I have seen one hit with a full straight stream from a 1 3/4 nozzle and get knocked across the room. It quit running. We stood it up, fired it up and it never missed a beat. Water proof? I don't know. Fireman proof? Seems to be.Re: Any good/cheap electric razor for camping?https://www.amazon.com/Braun-Pocket-Electric-Washable-Transparent/dp/B002PCPZQA Runs on AA batteriesRe: New RVer with some diesel fuel issues. You stated you have a 2005 Meridian 39f. You didn't say which engine you have. My Meridian 39K has a Cat. It has the fuel filter/water separator in the rear compartment where you can check the oil and water level. It has another fuel filter located on the engine, passenger side, towards the front of the engine, under the intake manifold. All these directions reference sitting in the drivers seat facing forward. Now the fun. To access the fuel filter on the engine, you must remove the steps at the foot of the bed. There are 4 screws holding the cover/steps in place. Once the steps are removed you can locate the secondary filter. I installed the Cat mechanical priming pump when I first changed my secondary fuel filter. If your motor is a Cat, call Cat with your engine serial number and they can provide you with the proper fuel filter.Re: What is typical width of class A with side slides both open?I wanted to be able to open my storage compartments when it is inside. I went 20' wide. Yes is costs a little more but the convenience is worth the extra cost.Re: YosemiteIf you want to stay at Mono Vista in Lee Vining, be aware they DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. Prices at the lake are high. Check you gas buddy app for current prices. You know your range in miles.Re: Best route towing 29' to Isabella lake. 5 or 14 to 178.I think it depends on your comfort level. I have driven 178 for almost 50 years and have seen semis with 45 foot trailers. You will be on lane next to the canyon wall and there are rock overhangs. Some are painted because they have caused trouble in the past. I have seen awnings laying on the roadside from hitting the wall. I towed my 38 foot fifth wheel behind a crew cab dually and had no trouble. If you are doubtful, the 14 to 178 is a much nicer road. It is a long steady pull from the 178/14 junction to the top of Walker Pass. You will come into the lake area and turn right on Sierra Way to go through Kernville.Re: Rig for two couples?RVs are great for six people for drinks, four people for dinner and two people for sleeping. Yes, an occasional guest or couple will work but the key word here is occasional.
