I really appreciate the help. Well ... I called reese for the 5th time and got the same old story. I really believe that reese has a bad design problem ... they even admitted to it in a round about way. that being said I am giving up on reese. Also the binding is on the side of the trailer that is lifted to level side to side. I jam the bar between the jaws and with great force I can pry them apart enough to pull the handle. I also tried front to back motion and raise and lower the pin box and massive amounts of messy grease. thanks again for all comments. spassy5th wheel helpPlease any help will be appreciated! I have a Rockwood 8280WS with the reese revolution and a reese titan 20K hitch with the correct wedge. the problem is unhitching on uneven ground after leveling the trailer.one side of the jaws seems to bind on the king pin and it is imposable to pull the lever to open the jaws. I carry a pry bar to spread the jaws apart so I can pull the lever out to release the truck. do I have the wrong hitch or am I missing something? I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem. can anyone help, I am at my end. thanks spassyRe: Reese Sidewinder PinboxI have the Reese revolution (same as sidewinder) and tow with a 2500 short bed GMC. we just made our 2nd trip from NH to FLA and love the way it handles and tows... no complaints there. The problem I have is un-hitching if the truck is tilted a little to the side from the trailer. no help from Reese so I would not recommend towing with a Reese hitch.
