Re: Two different size quick connects on my trailer?
This is a factory installed feature. One hose was supplied with the trailer. It fits the curbside quick connect fitting, but won't connect to the one in the front storage compartment on the driver side. Indeed I haven't found a use for them yet, but since they're part of the fresh water plumbing, I'm sure I need to get pink stuff or air to the fitting itself, to displace any residual water. On a side note, do people put pink stuff in the black tank rinse port? Actually I think I'll just push a little air through it.1.1KViews0likes0CommentsTwo different size quick connects on my trailer?
My Grand Design Imagine XLS came with 2 quick connect water ports. I'm trying to winterize but can't plug the OEM sprayer into one of them. It just bottoms out with no clamping action at all. I tried a little vaseline but no difference. I suspect it's a different size. I have 3 days to get it winterized before our weather tanks down into the teens. This is my first time winterizing this unit, and I've never used the sprayer before this. Thoughts?1.9KViews0likes10CommentsRe: 12v wire thickness
You can always run extra cables if you initially chose too small. I ran 0 gauge for my 3000 watt inverter. I've been able to run the air conditioner on that with no cable heating at all. If I need more capacity, I will likely just add another run of 0 gauge since I have plenty of it. Now I'll likely increase the gauge for the wires between the batteries if I have to. No room for 2 wires from post to post. Oh, and I ordered welding cable on line. Very flexible and easy to work with.1.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Looking for LED headlight upgrade options
A lot of good info here. Since I have a 2015 Ram which seems to be pickier than pretty much any other vehicle I'm aware of, I think I'm going with the Morimoto XB housing. Expensive, but it has a 5 year warranty, apparently including against fading/blurring. I have projectors. I've perused all the Ram websites thoroughly and virtually nobody has had great success using LEDs in projectors. The light scatters. My old 2015 Ram 1500 runs great, and I'm not interested in mortgaging the house for a new truck. So a few select upgrades might be worthwhile. I'm not interested in sticking an LED bulb in my halogen projector housing. I think I would rather replace the entire assembly. At the moment, the only units I see with good reviews are Morimoto XB, and Alpharex Nova. Since I don't follow this stuff very closely, I'm hoping for some enlightenment as it were.2.5KViews0likes18Comments
