PUCampin wrote: Here are a couple other interesting floorplans though they are in the mid 20's Rockwood mini lite 2306 We have the 2306, and our kids are little, so it works, but the triple bunk configuration is really tight - our 6yo finds the upper bunk too cramped already. The 2yo sleeps on the bottom, the 6yo in the middle, and the top is for stuff that didn't get stashed elsewhere. Ours is 10yrs old, so the layout is slightly different, but it works well enough for now. We like that we don't need to change any surface from day to night set-up, but know that when the kids are a bit older we're going to want more space. We have put it into some tent sites and snug spaces, which its good for! I believe, the box size is only 19 or 20', so it is a very cozy set up, and we really make use of the awning space and a separate dining tent -- spend most of our time outdoors.Re: quad bunk with outdoor kitchenThis is the same thing we're considering for a few years out (the kids are small enough now for our triple bunks). There is a smaller style of outdoor kitchen, which we prefer, that is just a little fridge, counter, sink, and space for a stove/grill. With this style, you don't lose the lower bunk. These 4 models are all the same floor plan, some w/ a 2nd entry door to the bathroom. They are 32-33' long, and under 6000lb dry. Bonus - it's also a fully featured hiking pack. We have one, but they don't make them any more -- occasionally I see them on used gear swap/sale sites. For our just turned 2yo we use a clip on chair at the picnic table, and she just kneels on the seat in the dinette if we eat indoors. This is the camping chair version -- a friend has them for her now 18mth & 3yo, and has used them for the past year. http://theportablehighchair.com/ It's just like the fold up into a bag camping chairs, but with a tray & harness to keep a tot secure.Re: Camping with infantIn a motorhome, you'll have to be cautious where you can put your child's car seat :) Our children have both been camping since their first summer, my daughter from just a month or so old, and my son's first canoe trip was at 6mth old. They don't know that some people think it's hard to take kids camping, they just have fun. Our must-haves for camping with littles are: a good back pack to carry them on hikes (we have one by Kelty, as well as a Boba soft carrier), and something to contain them for safely/meals/set up - a play pen, a stroller, the empty baby pool. Whatever works for you.Re: Bunk bed rails for young kids StaceyE wrote: We found this at ikea That looks great, our 6yo son might prefer it to the 'baby-style' one he's got now. Thanks for the link!
