Gasp!Re: Brighter LED replacements. There is a Chinese web site called dx.com that also sells led bulbs. I bought 1156/BA15S 27led 6watt bulbs for $2.16 each. Fixing to buy another dozen. So far I have been pleased with them. Both warm white and bright white are available as well as a variety of base applications. Their shipping is slow, but, I have never had a problem after several orders.Re: Using AVgas in your small enginesFor what it's worth, I checked with the Champion generator Tech department. They concur that it is ok to run the 100LL in their engines. Even Briggs likes to see at least 92 octane in their engines. The canned fuel they promote is ethanol free 92 octane and costs $5 per quart! Even at $5 a gallon for AV gas it is worth not having to worry about replacing fuel lines, cleaning carbs, or having your fuel go south.Re: Using AVgas in your small enginesStarting to see more and more "canned" ethanol free gas for small engines in the big box stores and small engine shops. I have always used regular pump gas, yes I know it is 10% ethanol, in a higher octane rating. Here in the south, due to elevated temperatures as the norm, the gas does not last very long (months) without getting a little "skunky" and E85 is very common, although I would not use that in any of my small engines. The ethanol will attack the clear fuel lines in most lawn equipment. Thought I would try the Avgas and so far so good.Using AVgas in your small enginesCurious as to others experience using Aviation gas 100LL which is a low lead 100 octane fuel. I have been using in all my small engines; lawn equipment and generators, for some time with excellent results. I have found it to be stable and easy on fuel lines. MOGAS or motor gas you get at the convenience store pump has 10-15% alcohol which has a propensity for absorbing water and attacking fuel lines and aluminum components. I get mine at the local airport for $5 per gallon, pricy, but, I think the benefits are worth it.Re: Roof support when installing A/CIf you can, try to place the AC unit as close to the center of the roof as possible. This will equalize the extra load to all lift posts.Re: Power conditioner at koa campground MartiniSCP wrote: So then beware this campground folks. Last night our conditioner (SurgeGuard 34730) showed 103 volts and 3,yes THREE amps! Completely unacceptable when I paid for 30. But that did prompt a question from DW. How much power does the power conditioner itself draw. I would think a very small amount, if any. Thanks again to all. Happy trails. B If the campground is only providing 103V with only a 3A current draw, I would pack up and move to another campground. How many AC units is this campground frying due to their old and faulty wiring?
