How are you arriving at this? There is no odometer on the trailer. is it just a guess calculated from all the trips you took? Sounds like a lot of paper work to keep track of miles.. Answers please. My 2015 Ram has a gauge that tells me miles when trailer is connected. I just found it after a year.LOLRe: Winnie Minnie vs Jayco White Hawk jim223 wrote: Hi everyone. My wife and I currently have a Lance 1575 TT. We recently upgraded our tow vehicle and are looking to get a bigger camper. In particular, we like the floorplan with the two opposed slideouts with an island in the middle (rear bath). We've been looking at the Coachmen Freedom Express 233RBS, Winnebago Minnie 2351DKS, and Jayco White Hawk 24RDB. We are also considering the new Lance 2155 but I don't think the Lance is worth the additional expense and I'm hesitant to buy a brand new design. At this point I think we've narrowed it down to the Jayco and the Winnebago with a slight lean towards the Jayco. We really like the interior decor of the Winnie better but the Jayco seems better appointed. Pricing on both is close enough to not be a factor. Our current Lance is a 2014 and was our first TT so we are not complete newbies but certainly not experienced enough to be able to determine which is the better built product over the long term. As I research both it seems that most owners love what they bought. There are always a couple of people with problems that the same could be said for any product. I would appreciate any input you guys and gals could provide on these two travel trailers. Is there something obvious that I'm missing or should really avoid? Any strong, educated opinions either way? Thank you in advance. We have a 2014 Minnie 2201 and have had very good success with it. We just felt it was better built than the Jayco we had before. Things like no chip core wood any where in the trailer impressed us.Re: question about window trim Hama wrote: Sorry guys another question. Of course the sway control "concept" is the same as the Equal-i-zer as Fastway is Progress Mfg company ... the E2 is simply a dumbed down, less costly version of the Equal-i-zer, offering 2-point sway control instead of 4. Unlike the Equal-i-zer which uses trunnion bars only the E2 is available in both trunnion and round bar styles so if ground clearance is an issue you'd want to use the trunnion style. I've used one for two years. Works great.Re: Hatch Trim drenjoey wrote: When I had my Travelstar, I used Clorox bleach in spray. Sprayed it on and waited.....then wiped it down ! Another product I use was called Awesome (Family dollar) ....did a good job too ! It's called screw cover. Take a sample to your dealer because there's several different sizes. He should have it in stock.Re: NO OVEN? REALLY? Oasisbob wrote: Been patiently saving up for a new trailer purchase. A Coachman Clipper 17 BH Of the inventory I have checked seems the trend is for no ovens. We use ours often. Salesman tells me surveys were taken and most never use them. Is this true or just a cost cutting measure? We only use ours to store bread and buns in. This is after ten years.Stabilizer jackI have one of my jacks that back off on it's own after I put it down. As soon as I take the handle off it spins back till there's no pressure on it. Any ideas?Re: Awning leakThanks everyone.Re: Awning leak BarneyS wrote: Baidy wrote: Does anyone know if silicone would harm the awning material? Silicone won't hurt it but it probably will not last long and will quickly look terrible. Many of the suggestions given earlier on would be a much better choice in my opinion. Tent seam sealer would be my choice. If the area is not visible, then the awning tape would do the job but it does change color a bit (darkens)after time. Barney Where would you get that? At a camping supply store?
