Good info.Re: Towing with silveradoYeah,I'm kinda partial to the chevys. Did test drive an ecoboost 3.5. Wow!Re: Towing with silveradoThanks for the replies. I guess I'm just trying to get a general feel for the 5.3. Don't buy trucks very often, ( i think Nixon was president when I bought the one I have now).??Towing with silveradoI was wandering if anyone has or is towing a camper around 6800 lbs ( short trips less than 50 miles one way) with a 2013 silerado 5.3 liter engine with a 3.42 rear end and what your experience was?Re: Dometic awning gas strutThere is a part number on the strut. I'll be sure and mention that also when I check out the websites above. Thanks everyone!Dometic awning gas strutI need to replace a bad awning gas strut on my dometic power awning. Does anyone know of a good website to order one specific to my awning? It's a dometic model number 916gp18.001b.Re: Getting shocked.Under normal circumstances, a ground wire is a non current carrying conductor. If you have voltage on a ground wire there is a problem somewhere. And I agree with hohenwald48, there are some inacurracies in some of the posts. If there is any doubt in your mind about the safety of your camper, talk to a qualified electrician. It'll be money well spent.Re: Need new kitchen faucetI just replaced our bathroom faucet. I did what 2oldman did and went to Lowes and bought one. I think you'll get a better faucet at a better price. Works great. I didn't have to do anything different than if I would've replaced the one in the house. You just won't have as much room to work in. Good luck.Re: Built in Propane Heater thermostat not functioningI found some info on your unit on the net. It showed the sensing bulb mounted horizontally with a clip somewhere at the bottom of the unit. Also, just be aware that the bulb assy won't react as quickly to temp change as your standard t-stat. It appeared by the literature I saw that the sensing bulb was located where the incoming air to be heated would have to pass over the bulb itself, even though it isn't a fan forced heater. Good luck.
