It has an added small computer cooling fan in back next to the compressor. I read a article that stated a cooling fan is not needed with a compressor style frig. I’m wondering why my coach builder installed this fan? The back side of the refrigerator compartment has the standard ventilated access door. Before I pull it’s plug, am I missing the reason for it ?Re: Camper window for aft of cab leaksThose camper slider windows are a bad design IMO. Weep holes by design are there to let water out from behind the glass retainer rubber. Only seal is a 1/8” bead of sealer at the glass to frame. In a prefect world this should work. But it’s that 1/‘8” seal that fails and lets water in. Fix is to remove glass and reseal or replace the whole window unit. But the slider window is problematic, probably why mine had a two yr. warranty.tire/wheel load capacity upgrade SRW or DRWI wanted upgraded load capacity and flotation. I searched an found little about upgrading my rigs wheels and tires. My 1Ton diesel 4x4 RV weighed in at 11,200 lbs., had duallies and the tires where nearly worn out @ 25,000 miles. I wanted to improve not replace. I looked into 19.5 wheels and tires but IMO that's not the way. I found these 4,500 lb. load rated wheels... Clicky and these 3,970 lb. Nitto Ridge Grappler 305x65r 18 "F" rated tires.... Clicky I converted from my 2012 Ram DRW to SRW and have been very happy with the highway and back road manners. 15,000 miles and tires still look new and much better on soft surfaces.Re: Better shocks for bad roads ??Roadking shocks are made by King and are a very good option because of their larger valve size. Larger RV's need more than small valved Kong's or Bilstein's and Monroe's which wear out very quickly. BTW, your shocks are shot at 45,000 miles. Check out Roadking.Re: Need Tips on Smoking Boston ButtI have a gas smoker I set at about 200* and after the first 30 minutes of smoking that's it. I continue without smoke, low and slow until done. Some times I finish wrapped in foil. Sliced meat has a nice edged smoke ring, with great smoke flavor. I've tried smoking longer than 30 minutes but noticed little difference in flavor. Works for me and cuts the cost of a smoking. I buy chips and a bag cost me $5.00, not cheap. I use about a dollars worth and happy not to burn up a whole bag.Re: Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs longevity?I do a fare amount of off pavement in my rig. Was doing fine 30,000 Hiway & Forest Service roads. Took a trip to run some of the Colorado passes that are old mining roads. 1st day Ophir Pass rated 2/10 was fine. 2nd day Imogene Pass 3/10 I blew a bag and was in danger of other damage due to the dead bag. Made it out to Montrose and had a 4x4 shop strip out the bags and install Roadmaster Active Suspension. Continued on with other passes rated 3/10 and had no further problems.Re: TOYOTAS TUNRA & TCFYI, 2 gen Tundra rear axles are very strong.
