We have two different switches for the hot water heater. One is electric (on the left). And another for the gas (on the right). The red light is in the middle. We were told that to use the electric (our preference), to turn the switch to on and that if the red light illuminates the heater is not lighting and we were to turn it back off, wait 5 minutes and try again. It would sometimes take an extra try but has always worked in the past. Have we been misled? We are new at this so I always worry if we are getting the right instructions. WendyMobile rv tech in Loveland/Longmont CO areaWe need an rv tech to troubleshoot a hot water heater. Does anyone know of someone they can recommend or who we should avoid? When we switch the electric on the red light comes and stays on. We have run a good amount of water through the hot water faucets in both the bath and kitchen. All the spitting, ect. Is long gone and water flows well. Husband has checked the bypass and outside and says both are OK. We don't know what else to do and need the heater working ASAP. Thank you very much.Re: Hwy 380 west between Denton and Decatur then 287 NorthWe arrived in Amarillo using 380 and 287. Had some high water on the sides but none on the road. Had a bit of rain in Decatur then just cloudy and eventually it cleared altogether. There is more rain predicted for tonight so we will see if it floods. A big thank you to sdianel for your help. It helped put my mind at ease. WendyHwy 380 west between Denton and Decatur then 287 NorthHello all, We are headed to Amarillo via 380 west to Decatur and then 287 north. Does anyone know of any flooding on these two highways? Thanks to any and all that may have any current information on these particular roads. I tried TexDot and could not see anything there but might not have looked in the right place. WendyRe: Fort Davis, TXThank you for all your replies. I will continue to research his options. WendyFort Davis, TXHello all, The DS needs to use our TT for a few weeks while apartment shopping in this area. I see three parks here: Fort Davis Inn &RV Park,HistoricPrude Ranch and Macmillien RV. Does anyone have personal info on any of these parks? I also see the Fort Stockton RV Park. I will check RV Park reviews but would appreciate a personal reviewer experience. We know we will have to do as much protecting from the cold as we can. We hope this will not go past Christmas. Thank you for your time. wendyRe: Checking new route from Black Hills to Cheyenne, WYThank you to all who have replied. The roads have been great and used the Flying J at I -90 and 79 for gas and a lunch break since it had a huge lot to park out of the way in. WendyRe: Checking new route from Black Hills to Cheyenne, WYThank you to all who replied so promptly!! We appreciate the information. In regards to fuel stops, is anyone familiar with any trailer friendly fuel stations between Rapids City and Lusk? Is there a Pilot or Flying J on this route around Rapid City? WendyChecking new route from Black Hills to Cheyenne, WYHi Everyone, We are currently in the Black Hills and have to change our plans. Considering taking I-90 west to South Dakota State Highway 79 South at Rapid City to State Highway 18 west into Wyoming to Lusk, WY and continuing on 18 to I-25 South on into Cheyenne. We are towing a 30' travel trailer. Will any of these roads give us any difficulties. We'd prefer to go around as much of the mountainous roads as possible w/o going too far out of the way. Thank you for your help!! WendyRe: Heading West from WIHello all, Thank you for all the tips. Especially the road construction update. It is so helpful to get these suggestions during the planning stage. It makes the drive go better and everyone benefits. I will look into all the suggestions and plot a more relaxing and enjoyable drive so we can enjoy the whole trip, not just the destination! Thanks again! Wendy
