thanks to everyone who has taken the time to answer my question. to be clear, i was looking for ideas, not legal advice. interestingly, my tax guy is less informed about this issue than many of you are. I think my main take-away is that i will not be deducting any rv parking fees, fuel, maintenance, etc, with the exception of a specific destination we visit solely for business. in that case, we rent a car, pay for client lunches, event fees, and an rv park. i will deduct those.571Views0likes0Commentstax writeoffs for full timers who work from road
Hi Folks need advice from those who have experiencewith this issue. My wife and i are full timers, and we both have businesses. (she sells buttons & designer fabrics, I do websites and e-marketing consulting) We are wondering how people in our situation are handling such things as rv park and camping fees, fuel costs, maintenance, repairs. it depends on who greets you at the border parking lot ticket booth. one of therm told us that it costs extra to stay in the overnight area, another told us to just park in the overnight area for the daily fee, because they never check. to play it safe, we stayed at the casino then drove to the daily parking lot. lots of folks were leaving their trailers during the day at the casino.768Views0likes0CommentsRe: Dental work in Mexicali
My experience with Sani Dental in Algodones, MX was quite good. The dentist who did my crown and fillings was as good as any i have had in the states. The facility is like any you would see in the US. I recommend doing your research. Check Yelp reviews; they are more trustworthy than Google reviews. The boondocking area along the first mile or so of the Rockhouse Trail, near Borrego Springs is now posted by the land owner. No one is there now, unlike previous years, when there have been lots of boondockers. The little spot at Pegleg marker is still open, and pretty full right now. And the private lands east of Pegleg road and south of S22 are still "open". Please keep it clean, and hopefully the landowner won't post it.1.2KViews0likes2Comments
