I decided to purchase a used travel trailer yesterday for my family to use. It is a 2004 Wildwood LE, great trailer, no leaks, etc. I am completely new to this world, and wanted to test both the city water connection and potable water. The city water connection worked great, minus needed to replace a gasket in the female end (done), water came out all locations in the trailer, toliet worked, etc. When I disconnected the hose, all the water that had been going in, came pouring out the connection to the trailer. Is this suppose to happen? I then filled up the potable water with a few gallons, and went to turn the pump on in the trailer, when I did this, all the water shot out the city water connection. How do I prevent this from happening? Is this common? I guessed that the city water connection should have a "plug"? Is this true, is it the fix for the potable water? I am hoping I don't have a bigger issue on my hands. Thanks in advance for any advice!
