If you boost the power to make for fast starts you will more than likely make the fuel mileage worse. We have a 525 CAT in our coach and it doesn't jump away at lights but does pick up speed quickly once it gets into 2nd or 3rd gear.Re: Do Command Strips work in RVs?We have been using Command strips to hang pictures, etc in our Country Coach for 12 years. Some of the items hung with command strips have been on the wall all that time. You don't need as many strips as you think. Make sure the wall and clock back are clean and oil-free when you attach the strips. We use the Command Picture hanging strips which are similar to 3M Dual Lock - https://tinyurl.com/yazuxgyk. They allow you to take the clock down and put it back up without redoing the strips.Re: coming from Idaho on I 90 to Glacier national parkYou may already know this but you can't drive your coach and trailer over Going to the Sun road. You have to drive US 2 around the south of the park.Re: coming from Idaho on I 90 to Glacier national parkThe easiest to find route is I-90 to US 93 at Missoula to US 2 in Whitefish. We like I-90 to MT 135 at St Regis to MT 200 to MT 28 at Plains, MT to US 93 and then to US 2 in Whitefish. YMMVRe: Condensation in dual pane windowsDave Root sells DIY kits - https://www.daverootrvglassrepair.com/ I have not used him but have heard good things.Re: Size matters...right?We drive a 42' coach and a lot will depend on your driving skill. We have put the coach into some very tight state park campgrounds but it wasn't trivial. The tag axle makes a huge difference driving in a cross-wind. The additional space of the 42'or 45' coach will be appreciated if you are full-timing.Re: Are my expectations too high?If the roads are rough the bump is about the same. You may not get the bucking bronco effect but you may get some porpoising if the shocks on the class A are weak. The biggest difference we felt was that you don't feel the push from the fifth wheel. Also, the road looks narrower in a class A than with the truck and fiver as the truck is narrower than the fiver/class A and you don't notice how tight it can be when you look in the mirror at a fiver vs looking out the driver window on a class A.Re: Rte 93 from Tucson to 40 good for class A W trailerNo steep grades. There are a couple of tight traffic circles in Wickenburg but we do them in a 42' coach with toad. There is a lot of 4 lane and the 2 lane has a lot of passing lanes. The part through Phoenix is "interesting" if the construction is still going on on I-17. You need to take 93 to 60 to 301 to 10.Re: Need Help On Trip to Hurricane, UtahIf you go to page, plan to stop at Waweep Campground at Lake Powell. The scenery is awesome and you can tour the Glen Canyon dam.Re: Kiwkee steps just clicking..When our Kwikee Steps motor failed we bought a replacement from AM Equipment. They manufactured the motor on our steps and were a lot cheaper than getting the part from Kwikee.
