We just wanted a place to stop before we hit the border. We instantly fell in love. We got there after hours and picked a spot, paid in the morning. There were many sites available in fact the Place was pretty empty. (Middle of the week in August) It has nice trails and lakes to explore, lots of wildlife to see. It sits right on the border between Manitoba and North Dakota. When we go wet again, that's where we'll go north.Re: Camper Bedding Question from newbieWe use a simple cotton duvet cover as a sheet. Works like a big pillow case for the mattress. Got it at the thrift store for $5.Re: Storge in a Jayfeather 17ZWe have a 2011 17Z and while the lack of a clothes closet isn't ideal, its the light weight compact layout we want. DH and I each have a rubbermaid 3-drawer container. We store them in the shower (which we never use) while stationary and while we are in motion store them in front of the couch. Works for us. It comfortably holds clothes for us for 1 week. When our kids are with us they have a duffle bag each stored in their bed.Re: Vermont/ New HampshireThanks so much for your ideas. I'll check them out and start dreaming about next year. Planning is way too much fun!Vermont/ New HampshireStarting to plan for next years big trip. Any advice on your favourite great campgrounds or natural places to go in Vermont and New Hampshire? We like to have electricity but not RV parks. We are Into hiking, photography and exploring natural wonders. Spending a few days in 3-4 places totalling maybe 10 days out.Re: outdoor rugsWe bought one of these for our trailer last year. Absolutely love it! We bought ours straight from cgear. Several sizes available. Easy to clean, packs up in a small size, water is gone is one quick shake, light weight, comes with tie downs.Re: Cape Breton Island-whale watching questionWe went with capt Mark out of Pleasant Bay. It was a great experience. We saw plenty of whales and some other wildlife as well. The crew was informative, relaxed and genuinely excited to show us their beautiful waters. Above all, they were also safety cautious. You can't go wrong!Re: Fundy National Park IdeasWhile in Fundy National park, and if you like a hike, I would suggest the hike to Laverty Falls. The falls when you get to the end are worth the medium/easy hike and you can even swim in them! LynnRe: Fundy National Park Ideas rv2go wrote: We stayed at the Ponderosa Pines while visiting the area. To get the full effect of the tide at Hopewell Rocks you will have to stay for a complete low and high tide. Make sure to get the tide schedule for your time there. At low tide you can walk the beach. At high tide, go kayaking and see it different. X2red coat trail in SaskWe're planning a trip west from Ontario this summer and have travelled the Trans-Can several times. I wondered if the Red Coat Trail (hwy 13) , which runs parallel and south, is a nice route? How is the road quality?
