One of them was bent we discovered on our last trip, when we had a blowout. :( My dh went with much heavier axles and larger tires so that he could get a heavier duty tire. We also just replaced the mattress in ours. We went with a futon mattress that had great reviews on Amazon instead of a RV mattress. It was less than $100. We haven't spent the night yet, but it feels great. We did lose about 2 inches in width, but felt it was a worth the trade off. Last year we changed out the bottom bunk and the pull out for three fold out cushions from Amazon. This has been great. We can put three people in the bottom bunk space. When we are ready to travel they fold into the bunk space like a thick mattress out of the way.Re: Keystone Bullet PremierOur gas/electric refrigerater has decided not to work except when it wants. It is parked and plugged in. We discovered it wasn’t working about 2 weeks ago. Then next time we checked it was cold again. Now it has become a daily check. One day it is cold, the next warm. The only thing happening is someone going in and opening the door and feeling. Anyone have any ideas?Re: Keystone Bullet PremierWe also did sliding drawers. I think there are some pictures already posted back about a year on this thread. Not sure if you can search my name and come up with them. I will try and retake some. They work great.Re: Keystone Bullet PremierWe have had ours for 2 years now and love it!!! We are a family of 7.Re: Keystone Bullet PremierWe (2 adults 5 kids) just got home from 10 days camping in our bunkhouse. We spent 2 days and 3 nights in Palo Dura Canyon, then moved on to our favorite campground and camping place in the world, SIERRA BONITA We stayed there for a full week, then back for one more night in Palo Dura Canyon. Fishing was great for those that fish in Coyote Creek. My dh got to see the bear he has been wanting to see for as long as we have been going up there. When we were packing up in NM we had an issue with the bunkhouse slide not coming in all the way. We have had this issue one other time. It finally came all the way in. This time we discovered that when we took all the jacks out it came in easy. Mental note to ourselves is jacks out first. We also have trouble closing the outdoor kitchen, but when jacks are out it works fine. Dh is considering jacks or stabilizers in the middle to see if that solves the problem. He has double checked the kids aren't getting the stabilizers to tight. It just seems to be to long a span between the middle and the back. He wants to put a stabilizer in the middle to see if this solves the problem. One of the mods we had made that we really like is we took the bottom bunk and the trunnel out and put three Shikibuton Tri fold Foam Beds 3" Thick X 27" Wide X 75" Long in that spot. They fill that area if you fold out all three. but it gives us one more bed back there, or two with space between them. They fold up and fit perfect in the bunk spot. The kids say they are really comfortable. These are big kids adult size. I will try to get pictures once we get it clean and de-cluttered from camping.Re: Keystone Bullet PremierWe have a 3 gallon water cooler that stays in our bus. Every has a stainless steel water bottle they are responsible for keeping up with. We invested in this and stopped buying bottled water for days we are traveling. We can buy bag ice to add to keep it cold. We do have a stash of plastic cups for those that forget water bottles but then you don't get to have water traveling, just stopped.Re: Keystone Bullet Premier Familyofnine wrote: We will be traveling with our seven kids ages 17 down to 2. We will have 10 days from taking possession of TT until our trip. We will be hauling with a Chevy Express 3500 (15 pass. van). It is awesome to see another large family camping in an RV. We only have 5 kids at this time, hoping to adopt again and make it 8! I wanted to share a couple of easy meal ideas for a large family traveling. We do taco salad and personal pizzas a lot. All the ingredients for both can be chopped ahead and flattened into zip lock bags. We use tortillas for "pizza crust". If we are in a hurry we just microwave them with all the toppings. Can spaghetti sauce, ranch style beans, and olives help keep the frig empty until left over time. If your crowd is like mine leftovers don't happen a lot. We have 2 teen boys that can clean up most things. Welcome! enjoy this amazing time of fellowship with your dh and your family as you reconnect! Thank both you and your dh for the sacrifice of serving. I have 2 friends that have also spent a year in the sand boxes of this world. It is a tough walk for the family at home also. So Thank all of you again!Re: Keystone Bullet PremierWe had a slide issue over the holiday weekend. The rear slide in the bunkhouse didn't want to come in. It came in about 1/2 then would stop. We kept taking it in and out, looking above, below inside and out and for what ever reason it finally went in.Re: Keystone Bullet PremierWe just did that last weekend. We ended up going with three of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004107WB0/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00 instead of the other. They were cheaper and this will give us THREE beds. Our thought is we can use one in the hall/table area for an extra little when we need it. The pads are airing out now. We will see in a few days.
