I am going to tow a 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ behind my class C Motor home and was trying to get a clarification on the proper way to do this. I will read one post that says you should put the transfer case in neutral and the manual transmission in neutral, and then I read the next post that says put the transmission in gear. Which is the proper configuration?? Thanks in advance for your answers.Re: Breakfast In Raton New MexicoThanks for all of your reply's. The reason we don't eat in the trailer is that we are traveling with our two granddaughters, and they think eating at a restaurant for breakfast while on the road is the coolest thing ever. We will be cooking all of the rest of the meals in the trailer from there. We are traveling to Raton so the girls can see Capulin Volcano, they have never been and studied about volcanoes in school. Thanks again for all of the suggestions, RV people are the very best folks in the world! Safe journeys to all of you.Breakfast In Raton New MexicoJust wondering if any of you have stopped in Raton New Mexico for breakfast and could recommend a good place to eat? We are staying in Clayton Sunday night, and usually eat at the Rabbits Ear cafe for breakfast, but I just found out they are closed on Mondays (the day we are leaving). I thought we would head up to Raton, and then on to Red River. Raton seems to be significantly bigger than Clayton. The main concern is parking for our 32' class C, and my sons 39' toy hauler.Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.Re: Tucumcari New Mexico to Springer New Mexico RoadsThanks for the replies, I think we may just try that route this year, it will be something different. Magnusfied, I hope the reminder of Tucumcari is a pleasant one. The funny thing is I lived in Dallas for 20 years. Stay safe in your travels.Tucumcari New Mexico to Springer New Mexico RoadsHave any of you taken the route from Tucumcari to Springer via US 54 to State Highway 39 up to US 54 to Springer. We are going to Red River New Mexico via Tucumcari and was looking at that as a shorter route than going all of the way to I25 North off of I40. The part from Tucumcari to US 56 looks kind of isolated, but was shorter. There will be two Units, a 32' Class c, and a 39' Toy hauler. Do you see any potential problems? Thanks in advance for any responses.Fun Valley or Blue Creek Lodge? This summer we are heading for Colorado again. We usually stay at Fun Valley in South Fork, but have heard a bunch of folks say that FV has changed quite a bit. We were there two years ago and the place needed a little sprucing up, but was still OK. Of course we had the usual complaint about tight spaces, but that goes with the territory. We were pretty put out with the YOUNG people (under 12) driving UTV's at great speed through the park, almost hit my granddaughter. We have friends that have been going to FV for over 20 years. They get there when it opens and stay till it closes. They told my son that they will never go back. That is really something coming from them. The problem now is finding a new place, if we don't stay at FV. I have looked on the web for places to stay and have narrowed it down to a few. Please let me know about any experiences you have had with "South Fork Campground", "Castle Lakes" in Lake City, and "Blue Creek Lodge" South Fork/Wagon Wheel Gap. We are leaning towards Blue Creek, but would appreciate your input on all of them, including your thoughts on Fun Valley. Thanks in advance, and travel safe!
