There is a Grand Design Reflection Owners page as well as a Grand Design Reflection 315 RLTS page. There might be specific pages for the other units but we are looking at the 315. We have been on the owners pages for about a year and one thing we have noticed is that Grand Design stands behind the products. I have seen where people say that they have approved mobile units to come out and work on an issue. But for the majority of the people on the pages love their units. Also a plus is employees of Grand Design monitor the Facebook groups for if anyone is having issues with their units.Re: Getting cable on television stickdog wrote: Do you have both a sat connection and a cable connection outside? Do you receive satilite channels on both the other TVs when connected to sat or just the main TV. When your connected to your sat box do you connect to the TV with coax or HDMI? We had the same problem with our last trailer, used the HDMI for sat but had to use a seperate coax connect to the TV for cable. You may have to find the coax that was used for the previous TV. Yes on the outside we have both a sat connection and a cable connection. No we do not receive sat connection on the other two TV's when connected to sat, only the main TV. There are two coax connections inside, Aux/Sat and TV. When connecting to sat the Aux/Sat coax goes to the sat box for sat in. The coax for TV is attached to out to TV. Works great. This weekend I tried a coax from Aux/Sat to the TV and changed input to cable - nothing no signal. Attached coax from out to TV to the TV and nothing no signal.Getting cable on televisionI can't seem to figure out how to get cable to my television. We have a 2008 Rockwood 8313SS with the dreaded Concertone system that by the way doesn't work any more. We have replaced the TV that came in the trailer and worked with the Concertone with a LCD one. We generally hook it to our Direct TV system which we have no problem doing. We hook the satellite up and connect the cable on the outside. Like I said no issue get a signal. This past weekend we were camping and the campground had cable and we connected our cable wire from the post to the trailer for cable. The other 2 TV's that came with the trailer worked and we could watch TV. But I could never figure out how to get cable on the LCD. Maybe it isn't possible since that Concertone doesn't work anymore. Just thought I would ask if anyone had figured it out.Re: Holding Tank Treatments? We have been using Happy Camper for years. Never had any odor and use a scoop in the black and grey tanks. Order it off of Amazon.Re: Lippert Aftermarket Leveling System InstallationI was at the RV show last weekend and looking at trailers and the one we liked there was a couple there just looking that said they were having the Level Up system installed on their travel trailer. They were from Florida so not sure who was doing the install but they said the out the door price for installation and hardware was about $4,000.Re: Narrowed down to 3 and the research begins csjag1 wrote: We use the 1400/14,000 Equalizer 4-point hitch on our 315RLTS. Has the typical Equalizer "noise", but does a wonderful job of controlling sway and stability. We pull ours with Chevy 2500/Duramax and it handles the big 315 great. Thanks, I have a 2013 F250 6.2 so don't think I will have issues towing. Currently our Equalizer is 1000/10000 pound rating. I know I will have to upgrade.Re: Narrowed down to 3 and the research begins Indycamp wrote: We currently have a Rockwood. We are looking at the same set up as you. The one we looked at the other day had 2 AC's and we want the queen bed (what we have here at the house) so that we have the nightstands. If we see one that has a king we might option that. We would also add the slide toppers, have them on the Rockwood and would't leave home without them. This unit seems well built and customer service seems to be top notch. What hitch system have you decided on? I have read that the hitch weight can be as high as 1600 - 1700 lbs. We have been talking about the ProPride to replace the Equalizer that we currently have when we do upgrade to a new trailer. Congratulations on your new GD.Re: Narrowed down to 3 and the research beginsThank you all for your replies. We have had eyes on all three now and right at this moment we really like the Grand Design but a close second the Open Range. Grand Design Reflection 315RLTS Highland Ridge Open Range OT323RLS Jayco Eagle 338RETS Still doing research and browsing the forums but thanks again for all the replies here. What does this mean to you?We have been researching trailers to replace our current one. We went back and forth from a 5th wheel to travel trailer but decided to stay with a travel trailer now. We have researched numerous brands and plan to attend RV shows and start putting eyes to trailer. Now my question..... When you see a trailer advertising "Arctic Package, 4 season, Winter Package, etc. what thought comes to mind? I have joined several Facebook pages of the brands we have been looking at to see what issues/questions owners are reporting. I see posts from we are camping in 5 degree weather and nice and toasty and all is well to, Cries for help that their trailer is all froze up. One post even said that the brands need to quit touting these packages as these are not mobile homes they are trailers and people should have certain expectations. In our current trailer we have an enclosed underbelly with tank heaters. In recent cold weather we filled the fresh water tank, unhooked from campsite water, turned on tank heaters, covered our low point drains and of course furnace was on. For the most part we were fine then only issue was our water line to the kitchen sink froze, low points froze and the tank pulls froze. The day we were leaving I was out with a hair dryer unfreezing things. What say you all? ................Re: Narrowed down to 3 and the research begins donn0128 wrote: Have you checked out Arctic Fox? Northwood, while a smaller mfg builds RVs on in house frames and are reputed to be among the best built in the industry. We looked at them via web site but closest dealer is 360 miles away. Not sure what to do if any warranty work needed to be done.
