Install is not bad. Took two of us around 5 hrs. No regrets. He has a great conversion kit. I have a 2000 watt inverter with 4-6volt batteries. No problems over nighting or boondocking Re: A/c unitI have done the conversion…..replacing the control board. Not difficult. Mine was to upgrade from 4 button to 5 button thermostat. Since then, I believe there is another upgrade from the five button. It may be easier to check with a RV salvage company and replace with a similar older unit.Re: HAZY windows in South CarolineIf you’re a DIYer there are repair kits on the internet that I have had good success with. It’s not a difficult job. Also most glass repair shops can repair/replace the glass however they may want you to remove it and bring it to there shop.Re: Need Help! Can't get anyone to work on my F53 6.8 enginMy son runs a service center on the north side of Atlanta. If worse comes to shove you can tow it up to him. He’s not cheap but he’s good.Re: Won’t startAgree with you Wolfe….but I’m old school… when we stop at a rest area so the wife can walk the dog and I can stretch my legs , I like to do a walk around my idling engine to make sure everything sounds okay and there are no leaks, same goes for a fuel stop. I’ve run/operated/owned large diesel engines all my life. Shutting them off for a short stop just doesn’t sit wellRe: Won’t startLeave it idle while fueling…leave it idle at rest stops unless you’re going to be there for more than 15 minutes. Shutting down diesels without a 5-10 minute idle is not good. HOWEVER…I do not think this is your issue. You have something else going on. Check on a forum like Cummins engines on IRV2.Re: Replace 1210 norcold with residential fridgeWe did the JC refrigeration HVAC conversion 3 Yrs ago….works great…no regrets.Re: Holiday Rambler anyone? With Fleetwood taking over the HR line it is likely to be nothing more then a rebadged Bounder or Pace Arrow which are good class A gas models.Re: Motorhome tires - recommendations. Most of your Michelin tires are “80” sidewalls. More prone to cracking but offer smother ride. Comparing an aged out tire to a new tire is not a fair comparison.Re: Which BIG RIG TRUCK atlas do you use?Haven’t looked at an atlas in yrs. I used a Garmin gps most of the time, but lately found them to not be that accurate or precise on their directions. Google maps works for me. Overhead clearances are always marked. Know your limitations and enjoy.
