You should have no problem finding a campsite in Kicking Horse Campground in mid September. It would be central enough for day trips to Lake Louise and Banff but I would consider it too far away from Jasper for a day trip. The weather could vary widely but if a storm passes through dropping snow it likely would not stay on the ground for too long.Re: Help needed with toilet water connectionI installed the same toilet in our trailer and had the same problem. My brother had PEX crimpers and fittings so we just installed two 90 degree elbows. It worked out well.Re: Yukon Campgrounds and boondocking sitesThank you Murray. An excellent source of information.Re: Temporary TT Insurance For Visitor In AlbertaWhen we traded our old trailer for a new one at a dealer in Alberta we prearranged our insurance before we left home. We had all the information for the new trailer and then just traded the license plate at the dealer. I registered the new trailer and paid the provincial tax when I returned home to BC.Re: Alberta Route Question for my Canadian Friends padredw wrote: Was just considering 533 and 540. Seems like 533 is a good choice, even though 540 looks a bit more direct on the map. Unless I hear from someone with experience on 540, I'll count on 533 for sure. I have used both 533 and 540 pulling our trailer. 540 has less elevation gain but both are good paved roads.Re: Johnson's Canyon Campground BanffWe stayed there a few years ago with our 26ft trailer. Some sites will be long enough for your unit but the narrow roads may be a problem. The site we were in was on a shallow angle to the road but the trees don't allow for a lot of maneuvering space.Re: Highway 22 Albert to MayerthropeWe towed our 26' travel trailer on Highway 22 to Mayerthorpe in 2013. It is a good two lane highway. We use the southern end of Highway 22 fairly often while towing.Re: Hwy 3 (B.C.) Hope to PentictonYou should have no problems with your length. I travel that route with an overall length of 47 ft. Last fall they were straightening some of the road so you will likely come upon some construction.Re: Whitetail Lake, BCI was into Whitetail Lake three years ago with our 26' trailer. There were a few more trailers about the same size but I would not have wanted to be any longer. We have also camped at Johnson Lake but we stayed on the flat area above the actual Rec Site. That area would be okay for you if there is no one already there.Re: Travel Trailer trip across CanadaWe last did that trip in 1999 with a 19ft TT. We did it in Sept and Oct so it was a lot less busy than in the summer. We found some nice little campgrounds in small towns that were good for an overnight stop and didn't cost as much as some of the Provincial Parks or large RV Parks. We just travelled a day at a time and stopped when we felt we like it. I don't like to make reservations and be tied to a schedule, it works for us. We enjoyed some of the Provincial Parks also but by mid to late Sept some of the parks were already closed. I've driven across the country four times so far and am looking forward to another trip in the next year or two. There is still lots to see.
