The Live TV input shares OTA and cable signals. There should be a switch somewhere to change between the 2. When you start with OTA, the signal scan will populate those channels. When you switch to cable, you have to rescan to populate with cable channels. Some TVs remember both, but you can't get both at the same time.969Views1like0CommentsRe: Mirada Select Steering
I also recommend the alignment and the check out of the SafTSteer. Also, your tire pressures seem high for your 22k chassis. I would also recommend weighing your coach so you know your axle weights under load. You may find that you can lower your tire pressure to still carry the load safely, but also more comfortably. Not knowing which Silverado I assume that the key in ignition is to unlock the steering wheel. Your Tahoe, like my SRX doesn't have an interlock. There may also be a way to put a cigarette outlet right off the battery to power your braking system. Gas or diesel? If gasser, I would wait and see how the level looked after it warms up. If low and no coolant to add, I would put in distilled water...but only just enough till I get the right coolant to put in. If diesel, I would wait till I started it next time and then see what the level does. If still low but visible in the overflow tank, I would wait till I had the correct antifreeze as the engine require special coolant. Most diesels have over 10 gal of coolant...most gassers, just 6-7 gal and you can get that anywhere.210Views0likes0CommentsRe: Ford Transit diesel
Our Thor Compass on the Transit HD chassis had the 3.2l 5 cylinder. It was awesome especially in that particular chassis/weight class. Not much CCC...but the Compass isn't that big to begin with. And that lack of capacity affected it's towing ability. But...the mileage, convenience, and power were great. Only drawback was the need to find a Ford dealer with a heavy lift. Not all Ford dealers have them and they won't work on them unless they can lift them. I see where Thor has dropped the diesel, but Ford is still making them with the new 2.0l diesel according to Google. However, that little 2.0l engine doesn't have the carrying capacity of the 3.6l gassers. Doubt we'll see that diesel in an RV.839Views0likes0CommentsRe: DESPERATE NEWBIE
Do you have a generator? And will they let you use it? If so, don't drive until you need to get more gas. Run your generator to charge your batteries and power your 120vac appliances. Do you know if you have 1 battery or 2? If you have just one battery you're not going to like the time you can run on battery. It's probably just an hour or 2 depending on what you run. Do you know if you even have an inverter for your coach? That would power your 120vac appliances....but not for long. Need more information on what you have.100Views0likes0CommentsRe: purchase
To me 'entry level' is a tent....so I guess it all depends on where you're at in the 'RVing' world. We have a 2018 Freelander and find it does what we want. It keeps us cool in the heat and warm in the cold and dry in the wet. Love my Chevy chassis. It gets us to where we RV. Doesn't leak, creak, or let loose of the attached things. Not a lot of 'bling'. Which we prefer. Bling doesn't hold up well in some cases.....and tends to be the things that break first. We've been doing this a long time (had a tent once) and find Coachmen to be a good product. You're doing all the stuff I would do. The splitter may be bad, the receiver non-hdmi output could be bad; lots to look at. Running down bad coax in an RV is not fun...they literally build the RV around the installation. If it was me, I'd look at the reviews for wireless HDMI (on this thread and places like the WireCutter) and test one. Don't believe any review from Amazon. Leave the coax as is.
