I ordered one in the past and it sure seams like a long wait but worth it in the end.Re: Rails vs pucks vs gooseneck mountI had the 14 Ram with the puck system and Companion hitch. When i bought my 19 Ford F-250 I made sure it has the puck system. I’ve had rails and picks and the Puck with the B&W is hands down the best setup. Like others have said it eliminates the slack and on the Ram B&W I didn’t need a slide with my shortened because you set it behind the axle for more clearance.Re: Ram Sales IncreasingI just bought a new Ford F-250 platinum but before that I owned a 2014 Ram MC drw that I loved. I was planning on buying a new 2019 Ram 2500 Longhorn since I had owned 3 rams before with very good service. I decided to test drive the 2019 F250 King Ranch and I really liked the seats as they were more comfortable to me. Pricing was within a $1000 and here in Texas truck country in May dealers were not offering much in discounts on either side. I decided on the Ford and have been happy so far after 5400 miles. Pros and cons on both and I am not brand loyal. We are very lucky to have three good trucks to choose from. I wish Ram all the best because I would defiantly buy another Ram diesel. I never looked at GM, they just don’t appeal me in looks and can size.Re: From Ram to a Ford Cummins12V98 wrote: stsmark wrote: First thing I noticed was the 2500 badges were set in the hood. I looked at some pictures of the new HD today and it was definitely one of them. You mean like this? This is a new 2019. Most likely what you saw??? I don’t think they are any changes to the 2020 vs the 2019. 2019 is the first year of the new design. Probably small changes only.Re: From Ram to a Ford Cummins12V98 wrote: GBuilders wrote: Before this new F250, I have owned 3 Rams with Cummins. I have quiet a few friends with the new Ford 6.7 and they have been very pleased. I hope this truck holds up as well as my Rams did but time will tell. What trim level was your last RAM? I had the laramie on my 2014 Ram. I just could not get use to the seats on the 14 and the 19. The leather on the 2019 Ram I looked at was quality no doubt and a step above the 2014 Laramie. I didn’t have a problem with the leather it was the back sides that I just couldn’t get comfortable with. My 2007.5 Ram I had before was cloth and I liked the seats on that one. I can’t figure out the Apple play on my new ford though. When IPhone is plugged in I can’t get to my setting or FM radio. Any ideas?Re: Switching tow vehiclesI just bought a new F250 and sold a 2014 Ram with the B&W ram hitch. I sold the B&W for over half what I paid for it and bought a 20k B&W to fit the F250 and very happy. I’m a big B&W fan of their 5th wheel hitches.Re: From Ram to a FordBefore this new F250, I have owned 3 Rams with Cummins. Funny thing is I had a hard time getting use to the Ford mirrors. The seat massage I thought was ridiculous when I first drove it but I went on a 600 mile trip right after I got the truck and I really enjoyed them on the long drives. It’s not vibration it’s a rolling or something on the back and bottom. My ram Aisan Tranny would have a clunking sound when shifting from drive to park sometimes. My brothers Ram did the same thing. Took it to dealer and let them listen to it and said it’s normal. Obviously the ride on the 3/4 ton is smoother then the DRW Ram so i didn’t mean for that to be a strike in the Ram. Truth be told if i had to buy a truck to tow my 5 wheel or other trailers it would be the same truck I sold. I was close to crying when they drove it away. I loved my Ram. Im not brand loyal so i drive the new 3/4 ton Ford and Ram and choose between them. Price was the same on both. From Ram to a FordI posted a few weeks back about selling my 14 Ram MC DRW for a 3/4 ton Ram or Ford. I have since purchased a 2019 Ford 3/4 ton Platinum. Here are my opinions after 2300 miles in the Ford. Ford- - more comfortable seats and cabin. - smoother ride - tons of power and pretty fast - transmission shifts smoother then the Ram Aisan no clunking. - massage seats are awesome - much better sunroof. - very nice tailgate with step Ram - Cummins is a better pulling motor IMO, but it was a DRW compared to a SRW and there’s no comparison, as well as different gears and the Aisan was a very good towing trans. - better EB over the Ford - megacab has more storage space - better sound sound system - some features are better then the other and vise versa. - almost cried when they took my Ram. I am very happy with my new Ford. I just hope I get the same reliability as my last two Rams. I’m not brand loyal because these manufactures don’t care about me or what I think. I buy the truck that feels good to me when I test drive. That’s why I choose the Ford this time around. BTW all of these trucks are awesome but very expensive.Re: Maybe a new Ford?It was hard going away from Ram and especially the 2019. I have found a 2019 F250 Platinum that I just have to have. I haven’t finished the deal yet but I’ll sent info and pictures when i get them.
