Eycom wrote: The exterior height of the 2011 model year increased to 109" vs 107" the previous year. With a/c the numbers are 119" and 115" respectively. You can double check these numbers on the Lance Support page. Thanks, that is what I need. It looks like if I want a Lance TT than I need to look for a 2009-2010 build year. Either that or figure out how to reduce the overall height with A/C by 3" ;) Griz12What year did Lance increase the clearance height of the TT?Does anyone know what year Lance increased their clearance height of their travel trailer (TT) to 119" and why? The first years they built TT's their clearance height was 114" + or - an inch and now it is 119". The reason I am asking is I am looking for a Lance TT that fits in my RV storage area. It seems odd to me they would increase their clearance height which affects the aerodynamics of it. Thanks, Griz12Re: Which TT meet these specs? DesertHawk wrote: Nice Trailer, WoodGlue. I really like the smaller The Lance 1575 with the Exterior Height at 117" or 9.75' it is close to the OP's wish list. But No Walk Around. I could really enjoy having one of them. Ha! :h The 119" or 9.916', might be a little over the 9' 8". But pretty close. Maybe the OP doesn't need the AC. My son has a Lance TC which is very nice. I also like the Takena 18B by Chalet RV, but couldn't find Spec's for it. Nice & compacted. Wonder what the over all length it might be. However, the Exterior Length of an Takena 1860 is 18' 9". So it wouldn't be to long of one. The 1860's Foor Plan is nice as well. And appears to be longer than the 18B. :S Sorry, Just Rampling. The only trailer I have found that meets my specs is the Holiday Rambler Aluma-Lite Ultra 207S. I have no info on the Holiday Rambler quality so I am not sure about it. I was hoping for more ideas. Except for the Chalet Takena 2265, most if not all TT everyone suggested are either too long or too high or no slide out etc. The reason for the overall specs is limitations of my RV storage area. My RV garage is 23' long inside and the clearance height is only 9'8". Anything longer or higher won't fit. :( Poor planning on my part. Griz12Which TT meet these specs?I am looking for a travel trailer that is less than 23" overall, with a clearance of less than 9'8", has a walk around bed with a slide out. Is there such a TT? Thanks, Griz12Re: When did Lance start making travel trailers? After I posted the question I found an article stated that Lance was building and selling travel trailers starting in 2009. I don't know what models they built and sold that year. But because of the RV down turn I would imagine they started out with a few models and built up from there. They do put out a nice TT and are pretty proud of it (price). But you get what you pay for sometimes. :B Griz12When did Lance start making travel trailers?I was just curious when Lance started making travel trailers. I knew they have been making campers forever it seems but not travel trailer. I guess I've had my head in the sand far too long. :B Griz12Re: Rating of Travel Trailers? 2012Coleman wrote: Don't spend your money on any RV consumer report service. I did - before I knew about this forum. Wasted my money. I started this post in hopes of finding a Free On-line RV rating site but it looks like there aren't any out there. I agree with a lot of the comments...you can find lemons in any RV manufacturers inventory. But I still feel some manufactures are doing a better job of building RV's than others. Whether it is due to their QA program...better training of their workers or better design I am not sure. I currently have an older Nash and am happy with it and for now will keep maintaining it until I find my next 'Dream RV'. Thanks Everyone for their inputs, Griz12Re: Rating of Travel Trailers? My friend who is very quality conscious, just bought a new trailer and without naming brands, was very disappointed in what he found (he wanted to spend somewhere in the low to mid $20K range). He finally settled on a Artic Fox but had to pay about $5000 more for it than the lesser brands were asking. I noticed other models of AF were nearly 30% more than even some middle of the road grades of trailers. Very much worth it though IMO. I am very familiar with Artic Fox and I believe in my limited experience of RV's that they are well put together. From what I've seen it appears Lance also does a good job and I am sure there are others. I would just like to see some reviews of the more popular brands by a knowledge third party.Rating of Travel Trailers? Is there a web site that rates Travel Trailer like a consumer report? I know there are books out there and for $80 they'll give me their opinion, but I was hoping to find something Free :) Thanks,
