Both use a Cal Rod and a pan.Re: Eternabond over Dicor on PVC roofTheir instructions Eternabond Instruction sheet do not recommend Acetone and state that Alcohol is ineffective. Again, no cleaning instructions for a PVC roof. And, they don't recommend their cleaner for PVC. Any ideas?Re: Eternabond over Dicor on PVC roofUnfortunately, the Eternabond instructions don't address PVC roofing except, that Alcohol has no effect. And apparently Acetone has undesirable effects.Eternabond over Dicor on PVC roofThe more I research this the more confused I get. It doesn't help that I overthink just about everything. Trying to find out the best cleaning agent for the PVC roof. Alcohol apparently has no affect. Acetone reacts badly with PVC. I think Mineral Spirits might leave an oily residue. Apparently I'm going to use Dawn and water. Does anyone have experience with this? Mainly I want to use Eternabond at the seam where the PVC comes off the roof and goes under an aluminum molding. I don't want to climb up on the roof every few years. I might use the tape around skylights, vents etc... Yes. I'll clean off as much of the DiCor as possible. Dicor and I don't work well together. Best intentions but it turns out messy. Thanks in advance.Re: Just experienced our first Non-refundable campground toedtoes wrote: If the campground were in the vicinity of the wildfires, then I would agree. But the campground is not. It is somewhere between the OP's home and Lake Amanor. There may be only one or two people with reservations at that campground affected by the Dixie fire. And staying at this campground is not affected in any way by the fire (eg, he isn't going to be subjected to smoke). So the cancellation is due to the OP's personal circumstances just like if someone died, etc. Had his destination been anywhere else, he wouldn't have needed to cancel. And his not going to Lake Amanor doesn't affect his ability to stay at this campground - it just makes it unnecessary for HIM. Dixie Fire Map. Updates frequently. The blue splotch is Lake Almanor. With the erratic movements of wildfires, how can you say that the campground in question is NOT affected by the fire? They are probably not refunding his fees because once the fire destroys the area the campground will cease to exist and his fees will be the last they will ever get.Re: trying to get stuck tire offCheaper than Amazon.Re: Got lucky with my water tank this weekend cougar28 wrote: Ok I want to apologize to the OP and anyone else who it may have been offended by my post. Just struck me as funny when I read it. Apparently some here are "Sensitive". Personally, I thought it was funny as Hell. But then, I'm old and don't give a **** about feelings.Re: Got lucky with my water tank this weekendAre you a member of Open Range Owners Forum? Probably no problem on your route except maybe NO since you have not named any serious tourist destinations. Well, one definite is the Unser Museum in Albuquerque. Maybe the Kansas State Racing Museum. Might go up to Belleville when in Kansas. Those are really the only places other than as much of Route 66 we can do. Oh and many places from "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". Red paper B-B-Qs when possible, too. Thinking about putting in a few "Weather Hold" days, since it will be "The Season".5 Week trip in planning stagesWe are planning a trip from Reno to visit friends in Bastrop, TX, then on to New Orleans. Back to wichita then down to Route 66 and home. As of now, we have not made reservations anywhere as we're not sure when we will leave and exactly when we will arrive anywhere. We do have stops planned and a few parks lined out in our plans. I plan on calling either the night we arrive calling the next day's planned spots. i.e. The night before we leave Reno, calling the first nights spot and so on. My question is. Will I be boondocking a lot?
