They are generally more competent, less costly, and more responsive than RV dealers. My use of one years ago in Oklahoma City (Price Mobile RV service) with a wheel bearing issue on a fifth wheel was outstanding. Great service!Re: Good Sam trip planner to Garmin 770I have done more research and testing. I think Garmin has screwed something up possibly with the latest 770 software update. I have a Garmin RV770 and also a Garmin 2689. I imported the exact same gpx file into both. The 770 does NOT find the new file the 2689 found it immediately and showed the new route. I also cannot import previously imported routes to the 770. More research and testing. :MRe: Good Sam trip planner to Garmin 770Your trip file must be in gpx format to be imported into the 770. I use MS Streets and Trips 2013 to set up the route and then save it as a gpx file. The gpx file is then placed into the GPX folder on the 770. I have no idea if GS Trip Planner can export a gpx file.Re: Dish UpdateI'll bet they are loosing lots of customers. I had Dish almost from the start of their service many years ago. Earlier this year I cancelled service for my two receivers. There were very few channels I was interested in and I had even not been watching them. I might have reconsidered if they offered al-cart channel choices with appropriate reduction in cost.Re: Truck Camper with Built in Genset? smcrea wrote: ....... Do they make a truck camper with a gen set? maybe one that runs on propane and enough power to run the AC? Yes. A number of manufacturers make campers with built in generators. My AF990 has one. Simple one button start/stop. Runs on propane and has an automatic transfer switch.Re: Tumbler fell out of RV door handleI had one do that several years ago. I replaced it instead of fooling around trying to fix it.Re: What Portable Propane Gas Grill Do You Use?I used the Weber Q100 for several years. Worked great but it does not store very well in the TC. Several years ago I bought an O grill. It works about as well as the Weber but stores more conveniently. Like the Weber it is a bit pricey. O grill linkAnyone going to QuartziteAnyone of you TCers planning to go to Quartzite this coming Jan? I am considering going. Will be my first time there during the show. PM me if interested in getting together.Re: 2020 SE TC Gathering - planning stage Travels with Yoly wrote: I just looked at Spring Lake Resort's web site and find it quite impressive. Probably better than my recommendations :-) Hope we can make it. I agree! Just checked out rates at Big Meadows. Holy Smoke.....I have never paid that much for a campsite.Re: Moki Dugway, can I do it?You should be OK however it will be a good pull with the load you have. The road was used originally for 18 wheelers hauling uranium ore so it is much wider than I expected and the switchbacks are not real tight. I came down it in my Jeep Cherokee so years ago.
